First time posting here... am I any good?

I'm not a news junkie or anything, but you guys have got to see this: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/12/the_decade_in_news_photographs.html

I know there are already a lot of blogs/sites/shows making lists of everything that happened during this past decade, but the photos on Boston.com are incredibly moving and very touching. I can't believe we lived through some of this stuff, guys! I recently turned 20 and until now I've still felt like I'm 17, 18, 19 years old. But looking at those pictures helped me to realize how valuable life is and how quickly time flies. Some of those images still seem like they happened just yesterday while others make me think, "that could've been me?". Who knows what's going to happen within the NEXT ten years, but judging from the last I'm preparing myself for anything. Godspeed homies.

Do you have photoshop or a program that came with your camera. If its canon it should be DPP and you can process through that.

Practice/Research/Time would be the first three ways to learn to take a picture like that.

O I know, have lots of experience printing in both the real darkroom and the digital darkroom. When done right though, a print is unmatched.

Sick I want to get some darkroom experience but the only film that I feel would be worth the time would be large format 4x5 or 8x10. I would love to try a view camera out!
