  1. I picked up a couple Tezomeya short sleeve shirts in their undyed option. Wanted to share how they fit me as I was new to their sizing. I’m roughly 5’9-10” (177cm) 163lb (74kg) and typically wear US Medium shirts and L/40 or 16 in Japan sizes, mainly FW shirts. For Tezomeya, I went with sizes 170 & 175 and they both work well. The 170 hits just below the waistband on the FW 51s in the pics and is great under a denim jacket untucked. The 175 fits looser and longer, but not excessive by any means, just a more relaxed fit. I like the soft, light feel and would be open to picking one of their dyed offerings as I like the muted earthy colors. Thanks @julian-wolf and @AlientoyWorkmachine for the sizing advice! Hope this can also be helpful to anyone else interested in trying Tezomeya. For both pics, Left is 170 - Right is 175

  5. .. my t-shirt supplier lost his unit a couple of years ago in the gentrification, he's now a landscape gardener If only i needed a cheap lawnmower Gone but not forgotten.. He had a large leather armchair which he fitted castors to the feet and he and my kid would make a tower out of all the t-shirt boxes then he would push him at speed into the tower.. rebuild >repeat

  7. Nostalgia. Most of the time it's in my pocket so no one sees what it is. But I illustrated that it turns heads (whether they know what it is or not). I like the player's industrial design. I like the OS UI/UX. I don't care for "super high quality audio." It's fun pulling things apart and figuring out what's wrong, so no trouble. The 4th Gen cost me a little over $40 so it's hardly breaking the bank. I listen to albums as a whole more than when on Spotify. Keeps me off my iPhone a lot more et al etc etc

  8. YMMV but to me this says the cut just isn’t what you’re after. Yes, jeans are not tailored garments and close enough is usually enough but there are jeans that have those fuller legs without the sloppy waist, (like Tender 132/ or FC 0105 or many others) they’re just not the 40s.

  10. Unexpectedly hot as blazes last week. I usually set up the patio in a tank top or just shirtless and change into a tee afterwards but it was so hot I just left the tank top on. New haircut but otherwise same old stuff, denim cap, sunfaded selvedge bandana, orphan vest, 501 STF, Justin's Boots...

  11. If anyone can recommend a DAP that fits the following criteria I'd be very grateful : - under £250 - easy to transfer music from Windows - albums transferred remain organized as albums rather than as individual tracks - proper display so you can actually see what you're doing My impression has been that there's nothing in between cheap crap and £500+. A guy in Richer Sounds told me that this was basically true because all the needs between clipping to your shorts while running and really high end sound quality are covered by phones these days.

  12. @Double 0 Soul you got it! They came washed and I’ve run them through the machine cold wash, hang dry a few times now and there were no changes. I’ll try to get some measurements w/ pics up soon. Probably sometime tomorrow.

  16. Definitely prefer looser cuts these days, but the problem I've had in the past with sizing up is with the waist being too big - where the waist band cinches and folds over itself when wearing a belt and the crotch bunches up. I've had the waist taken in on a couple of pairs of jeans that I've sized up in (using Railcar's downsizing service) and the results have never been great. I have an email out to Ryo at TCB to get his thoughts on sizing...

  18. Yes, I know. I happily left behind my years of obsession with high-end gear—tube amps, ribbon loudspeakers, esoteric cables, network switches, $100 fuses, and so on. Now I listen to Beethoven and Schubert from Qobuz streaming through mid-priced Beyerdynamic headphones and am completely happy with my music 🙂

  20. Probably pulling the trigger for the new 40s preorder. I'm really torn on what size though. I've gone through so many pairs over the last 4 years since I've started weightlifting. I'm 5'9 173 lbs, true size 34, but need a thigh < 13". Judging by the waist/around measurement a size 36 would look like it could work - I figure with the higher rise, they could sit a little lower on my hips and give me enough room in the top block. I feel like if I go with a size 38 the waist will be too big and give me crotch folds. The jeans I'm mainly wearing now are the Rivet & Hide RJB collab jeans in a size 34 and they feel too snug, likely could of gone with a 36 there. Idk what to do, I told myself I would only buy new jeans in person, but these look too good to pass up 😅

  21. Coming from the market in Bursa. Tired face, vacation beard and old milk records hat. Linen longsleeve/tad tight. 90s Canes 37s, forgot the model number. late night snacking on the bounty. Mandarins are sometimes ripe when the skin is still green, as I've learnt. Same goes for oranges in some cases. This should be an early variety of satsuma.

  23. Back on pg5 and pg6 of this thread there is a discussion regarding a racist caricature on the Groovers patch (we don't need to have that discussion again) by the time i came to this thread c2008/09 the links were already bust.. Back in my early days of sufu, i used this thread all the time for searching source material on Yahoo, GeoCity, Live Outdoor and such.. even though i searched for Groovers 100s of times just out of curiosity, i never actually found a pair until now.. the patch is pretty damn offensive so i'm not posting images but i have posted links.. wtf!! 28. It's been way too freaking hot here too, high today is 98 f / 36 c. In hindsight I think I should've waited a bit to wash these, but that happened before the WoM contest took off at warp speed.

  30. I think part of it is the lighting / shadows, I'll try to take some better photos soon. And yes they are double cuffed. The rise is so massive that I have to hike them up pretty high to get a little break above my shoes.

  32. That looks good @fabes. I ended up with a few more 170s in different colors. Really like them. They’ll be my staple from here on out I think. My 175s are perfect for a more slouchy sort of deal.

  34. I was tempted to set up something like the above ^ just to get around storage + battery limitations on my phone…but in the end decided against it since, even with the bit of extra space, fitting everything on the local drive would have meant downconverting my whole library, and even then it would probably have been tight In stead I landed on moving all my media to a Synology NAS box, and setting up a lightweight Plex server. It was pretty straightforward to get it up and running, and it lets me stream my music from anywhere without needing to do any conversions or make any copies. It also gives me easy access to streaming my movies & TV, although that collection is quite a bit smaller. As an added bonus, there’s enough room on the NAS that I was able to set up an extra partition for keeping backups of my computer and phone. I’d definitely recommend a similar setup to anyone with a large library

  36. Need some new songs @Double 0 Soul! This one is a doozy. Dual boot, so Apple iPod OS or RockBox where you can fully customize practically every setting and run themes. I'm currently designing and coding a theme but using one of the best ones I could find. 5.5 Gen iPod with 64MB onboard, 512GB Samsung flash on a iFlash board, 3300mAh phone battery, taptic engine (so it vibrates as well as clicks) with a transparent front, OEM black clickwheel and an older 80GB backplate (scratched up). Gets about 80 hours or so at least.

  37. I gave up on short boxy sweats as they always end up riding up and feeling uncomfortable. All my sweats are now from Good Measure in the UK, they fit longer. https://www.goodmeasure.co.uk/collections/good-measure-m-21-sweatshirts?srsltid=AfmBOop7xnIJzj8sm73mCsfrl6HrzeMjLAQR3tRHQoWzjZqW7Fxv7fGw

  41. Sorry for the long silence- personal and work life have been extremely busy. Reopening the Stores is going to be later than I'd hoped, aiming for end of September but it may spill over into early October. However, AW24 production is coming through nicely, and going to be a really good one. I'm in the UK at the moment taking care of that, and tidying up some personal things. An early customer, Steven Ramm, contacted me recently about finding a new pair of 129s to replace the pair that he bought a decade ago. He's now the owner of some Mars Black dyed ones, here are his 10 year old logwoods: "I have a new digital back for my Hasselblad 500 c/m and this was its first outing, so I was just getting to grips with it. Maybe that's why the shot of the front of the jeans isn't sharp! Not really sure how that happened!" The front shot's my favourite 🙂

  44. Type 410 three pocket square tail shirt in Achilles' Heel indigo dyed 10oz cross weave denim... now close your eyes and say that again I ummed and ahhed over sizes and could have gone larger but opted for a shirt fit rather than shirt/jacket fit. I'd happily have another one in another fabric (top selection of fabrics kicking around) but would go a size up for layering. This fabric is definitely special, lovely 3D texture and wonderful colour. I gave it a couple of washes before wearing just to be sure to take off any excess dye (safety measure on my part; the shirt has actually had a wash after dyeing, and I understand that the dye is more firmly fixed than in a standard denim). The pics below are pre-wash, taken indoors with the light on...
