People should hold film shots at the same standards they hold digital to. Myself included.

crosspost from photography thread

for reference: it's Canon A-1/ FL 58mm f1.2/ HP5+ (developed in HC-110) for the black and white... 50mm f1.4 FD for the color pics with kodak gold/400H.

also... some of my better 6x6's as of recently. I didn't find any reason to spend an additional 1K plus on a hassey so I'm using a bronica SQ-A/ zenzanon-ps 80mm f2.8 and am happy with the quality.

Been using a T2 ever since I left my Yashica T4 in a cab (whoops) and I am in love. Thinking about getting another camera to complement it. Either a Ricoh GR1S or V, a Konica Hexar AF or saving up for an interchangeable lens rangefinder system (leica m or contax g2). Thoughts?

Was just able to purchase my first film camera, a Minolta x 700 w/ pristine Ozunon MC push/pull tele zoom 75-200mm f4.5 and MC 28-70mm f3.5-4.5 push/pull zoom. Quite excited to say the least

how are you guys getting your film developed? the only place that did it near me just closed, from looking at some stuff it seems that developing at home is best for black and white? I'm new to this game

Developing at home is pretty great but also somewhat risky. It'll cost you about $80 for the chemicals and the chemicals are temperature sensitive and such. It's real tricky to learn but it's great and time/money saving when you master it.

Just found this thread--lot of good shit. The medium format shooters make me jealous.

Stuff from this summer, all on a Nikon FE with 50mm lens, mix of films--tri-x, portra, superia. Next buy is a wider lens--maybe 28 f2.8, or maybe a film point and shoot.
