this question is way out of my noob league. however, this pair just has a very unnatural whiskers and honeycomb. in the 1000+ pairs i have seen, online or real life, i don't ever think i saw anything like that in a naturally worn in jeans. also, imho jeans worn to this state gotta have holes, tears somewhere.

Not a bad distressing job, but the whiskers on the right leg near the crotch rivet and the combs on the knee of the left leg are a dead give away that it's not natural.

Sorry for digging up such an old thread-I just thought it was interesting..

everyone has picked the most faded jeans as their Grail denim..

wouldnt it be more sensible to dream your ideal jeans, then you'd have your own Grail jeans!

i know I've designed an impossible pair of jeans, which would last forever and fade away beautifully, but that would be my Grail rather than anyone else's old jeans..although I'm still in love with Ajchens 3sixteens...
