The cinch was something unique since the beginning about this jean. We should do this old school Levi style: leave the cinch and people that don't need it can cut it off :D:D

^The majority are picking Wrangler style pockets anyway. Wrangler isn't necessarily a LHT brand.

edit: i say we let the poll run for a specified number of voters. adds urgency.

Might not exactly be the buttons shown, but replace black coated copper with nickel or whatever the Samurai ones are made of and you get the idea...

And if you commit to taking the cinch off before soaking, the holes should seal up as the weave tightens after hitting the water.

^^ Unless the are are riveted, in which the holes tear the strands of yarn and removing the whole cinch could cause the denim to unravel over time

you guys advocating removing, or even worse cutting off, a cinch are koo-koo. if it was an ALD style i could maybe live, but the current sam style is a no go for me.

cinch back is only functional with a high rise, imo. old school high rise.
