i haven't tried la costena yet, even though it's located right next door to la bamba...should give it a try one of these days.

Word up. La Costena pre-dates La Bamba on that corner by like 3/4 years. Ahh grade school :)

am generally a veggie burrito kinda guy but my friends love the Pollo Borracho and the Asada. Enjoy.

diamond in the rough? only for tacos? i usually only frequent the main spots (sergio's, lolitas, cotijas etc..)

It's been a while since i've been there and i've only been a handful of times, but from what i remember i really enjoyed it. Tacos are good, burritos are good, i think they even make their own tortillas. I usually hit up the main spots too just because it's closer to where i used to live. If you are in the area you should check that place out.

pleasanton through berkeley aha around those areas.. tri valley specifically.. came back from going to school in socal... its just not the same anymore aha

New Gordo's opened on Telegraph in Dec. QC varies, but I had a good experience there.

Favorite taco in the E-bay is hands down Taco Grill on E12 by Fruitvale Bart.

Also Sinaloa truck on International @ 22nd.

Thank God for Kenji slamming Papalote.

I think that place is terrible, i have no idea why people eat there. There's more flavor and soul in a Chipotle taco.

Mariscos Guillen La Playita

has anyone been to this place in Santa Monica. I eat there whenever I'm in the area. probably my favorite place to get clean cheap mexican seafood.

l

yelp photos not mine.

edit: how do i get zoo fries.

!

place is about 300 some/odd steps from my apartment, quality stuff. i recommend a shrimp burrito with cheese and carne asada added. don't knock the surf n turf burrito until you've struggled ordering one from a mexican man who's not used to taking custom orders...and eaten it

GOTTA LOVE THE MISSION! YOU KNOW THE SPOTS!

ever cross the bridge to Oakland? Head over to Tijuana's nice little hole in the wall! My fav. spot in the eastbay. 13th and E14

Those places fucken suck..... only waspy shmucks eat there. Try La Gallinta or for the best mexican sandwiches go to los Picudos and get the Chorizo/Asada Torta. Its not on menu, but the combination is amazing.
