Yeah up to an inch initially, but that will ease of after a few washes and they'll snug up nicely, they will also shrink 3.5" - 4" in leg length.

Thanks, Chambo. Pretty much just got the feeling the 32 is right for me, im going to wear them wet anyway when i soak them i think. And if they shrink round the waist then i'll just have to man up and bang in some wearing until they stretch back out, they wont get properly washed for a long time

Im not concerned about shrinkage in the length, im only concerned about shrinkage in the waist. And more importantly if the waist shrinkage will NOT stretch back out.....

By the sounds of it i will be able to stretch the waist out after some good wearing...?

Buy them too small and run the risk of distorting the button placket through stress through forcing the stretch; wear them when damp post-soak and run the risk of getting 'knee bags'...

Look, the 34 will shrink to 32 on first soak and fit you just fine, the waist may snap back out up to an inch when you start wearing them .. just wear a belt, they will shrink all over a lil bit with each subsequent wash / hot soak. They will never stretch back to their original raw size. The 34 is the size you require.

No, they would shrink to 31" and the rise would be lower so they'd be real tight on your hips, squeeze your guts when you sit down and ride up your ass when walking.

Evisu's look good loose. Get them 2 sizes up. All the hip flares, knee bags and other shit go away when you wear them long enough. I have had 3 No. Specials from different seasons and all of them shrunk 2" from the waist and stretched back only 1". They also shrank back down again when washed.

yeah have to agree with coleslawyum, at one point i had aroun 8 pairs of international denim, and when i relised they weren't made in japan they all fit like hip hop jawns i sold them and got some proper denim and have not looked back since

Thing is it's hard for me to understand the size thing just as I usually am size 30 in other brands, nudie, Armani, Paul smith etc so then funding out that a size 32 fits me in Evisu after trying them is ok but then to be told you need to size up 2 from that to 34 just seems a bit odd!!

tag size means nothing i have tagged size 29 which measure 32 as they sit on my hips.

I am a true 30 and in evisu mij no2 i went down to a 28 but they measure 30. When i order no1 one day i will order a 32 because they will start at 32 and then shrink to 30

i really don't understand how this is so hard to understand but go ahead and order whatever size you wish as they are your jeans at the end of the day
