yeah if i get No.1s i might think about painting on the seagulls because BiG doesnt sell No1s w/gulls.

since they shrink so much, will they also stretch a lot back out

BiG does sell them with gulls, too bad they don't have many in stock right now.

You mean like too horizontal?

Ever seen pics of worn Lee jeans made from LHT denim? A lot of those have similar fade patterns, subtly different to the 'usual' fades associated with Levi's and Levi's repros.

I don't think it has to do with the denim, it's just all of your jeans have the same tidy look in them, i might be wrong though.:)

Maybe because they've all been broken in while riding a bike? The jeans would be under the same or similar stress all the time, which might account for the similar patterns...

CTB I'm feeling you have a lot of jeans but you don't well, really, wear any of them.

Not being judgemental, just my observation.

Fair comment.

I'm not one for just wearing the same pair of jeans for months on end, just as in the same way I wouldn't wear the same tee for weeks at a time. They all get worn, but as and when the mood takes me, if that makes sense.

Ahhh ok, that explains the crotch repairs lol :D

And hopefully the fade patterns - notice that they're most pronounced on the 2000s and the 2101s, both slim-fitting jeans.

I sized down on the 2101s as they were deadstock and a 31 was all that was available (I was around a 32-33 at the time), and the 2000s were smaller than presoak tagged size (tagged 34 but actual 32 presoak)...both pairs are still tight across the top block even now, and riding the bike really went to town on those areas.

Is there any significant difference between No.1 and No.2 denim to justify the huge difference in price?? (other than STF Vs SANF)

the No.1 denim is probably THE most expensive 14.5oz synthetic indigo that's available on the market.... what justifies its price of 30,000+ yen?

Probably the fact it takes the machines an equal amount of time to make one roll of no.1 denim as it does for an equally power consuming machine to make 3-4 looms of no.2 or the likes .

That or the fact it is actually osaka denim and the others are made on the foreign machines and sent to be assembled

Hey CTB - I think your frame may be too small for you. You have that seat post adjusted REALLY high. What size frame is it and how tall are you?

The frame is 47cm, and I'm 183cm tall (18.5" and 6 foot, with an inside leg of 32" to the floor), so it's a good fit.

The seat was fitted by the old man, who has a bike-fitting business, and rides more miles of a weekend than I cover in a month!
