Sorry in advance for clogging up the thread with a sizing question.

I tried on a pair of size 35, #2000 no. 1 at BiG this weekend and like the fit but it seems a bit insane that the shrinkage on these is a possible 2.5" in the waist and only .75" round/ total (i.e. .375" measured on one side or not doubled) in the thigh, knee, hem. This info is what BIG told me. Seems like a huge discrepancy

Does this seem accurate with other peoples experiences?

The waist on the 35s were a bit snug but fit well everywhere else. I just cant see sizing up more to a 36 for a comfier waist when the leg won't shrink much in width?

Any experience with these would be helpful.

they shrink alot. more than you think they will.

when i got mine, they were tight on the waist and baggy everywhere else.

this is after a soak with me wearing them... i could feel them tighening up on my body

this is after 3 months, and one wash... got even tighter

ive owned both samurai(0500xx not 710) and evisu no1. there is no comparison... the evisu is by far a superior jean.

^ my thoughts exactly.

I will add on to the shrinkage. They definitely shrink a lot with more washing/soaking. I was very unhappy with my fit but after like 4 hot washes within the first week, the jeans shrunk to an awesome fit.

Similar to cheap's post wash, which is an awesome btw.

I was actually amazed at how much the No1 denim shrinks. I sized up 2 from tag size and they were fitting tight already presoak so I wore them in a hot bath for close to an hour and the waist stayed the same but the legsand everything else came in like crazy. Im not sure what the waist will do when I eventually wash them.

yea, im not sure if they will charge you, although there is a german lady who works their ;)

i asked her before about sending my deluxes in for them to paint with a return bag included so they could send back to me and she was fine with that idea, although i never got round to doing it, i would call to make sure first! :)

wow...the paint cracks very fast on my 2000s. After seeing how good the paint on the Ooe World Tour pants holds up, I thought they paint would be tougher.

So, the guys in the UK would also official repaint pants bought in/from Japan?

Definitely worth speaking to Savile Row about it, not sure what their 'official' stance is on painting jeans that were bought elsewhere but I'd imagine they'd do it, albeit probably for a price.

Fuck knows about getting someone in Japan to do it, would be a mission and a half that's for sure.

Bought a new cam today so will be re-taking a few pics when it stops pissing down...
