Are Lee 101z Made in Polands sanforized?

I got a pair for 17£ and they are seconds (though i cant find any faults anywhere) so have the labels ripped out of the inside. Anyone help me out here... They are the ones with the kinds fake frayed half selvedge. Where is the denim from also incidentally? Left hand twill.

No, they're not sanforized. Only the first Euro ones, made in Eire, were. DOn't know where the new fabric comes from - it looks like ringring, but from a projectile loom, with that half, open selvage.

Lastly do you know if they shrink to or from tag size, im guessing to?

i'm pretty sure they are sanforized....i don't think lee makes an unsanforized product. they might shrink about half an inch in the waist but that's it.

I grabbed a pair of those over the xmas holidays and was curious about this too. The guy in the store said they'd shrink back to whatever the original size was before wearing and stretching, etc..

Not sure how true that is though.

my money is on these jeans being sanforized. lee has always prided itself for having a ready to wear fit...so you could buy their jeans knowing that they wouldn't shrink in the wash and become unwearable.

OF all the Lee Euro reissues, only the first batch from around 10 years ago, made in Eire, are Sanforized. The fabric came from Kaihara. If they are, it will say Sanforized on the little black Riders tag inside the waistband. Now, AFAIK, only the Edwin-made Japanese reissees are Sanforized, using Nisshinbo denim, altho of course many of the Euro reissues are pre-washed.

I think paul t is right actually as i got some 101bs in the same looking denim and they shrank. thanks

by how much did they shrink?

the 101bs i think 2 inches on the leg (from 36) and maybe 1.5 on the waist (from 34). Those are pretty rough to be honest as it was a while ago.
