woww my skulls 5010xx are fading quite fast. its my 3rd week of actual wear and the honeycombs have visible fade, and the whiskers too!

5010's after almost 2 years of nearly everyday wear. They are a lot more faded than they look in the pics but I don't have the best lighting and/or camera.

are there any places still selling the texas cotton version?

ye thats pretty big news. Sure it wasn't a misinterpretation? more like skull probably isn't going to produce any more denim in texas cotton. Well i love skull hope its not true

from my understanding, skull is shifting towards t-shirts and shit like that and might be phasing out their jean production.

thats why SE often has no idea if they will be getting any more skulls in stock

I was going to buy some 5010's today from BIG but they ran out of my size. Guess I may never have the chance to. I was deciding between PBJs and skulls, but I guess I'm going to have to go with the PBJs now.

Try Rakuten --- I've just picked myself up another pair of 33's.

This change on Skull's part is interesting. Whenever I've looked on Rakuten I haven't seen all that much in the way of Skull t-shirts. Strange that they would decide to specialise in something they haven't done very much of up to this point. But maybe making jeans is just too hard.

You can get them for about $40.00 less on Rakuten. I don't know whether to put it down to randomness but the ones I just bought are about an inch smaller in the waist than the same size ones from BiG, closer to the tagged size.

On another note, damn they sew their pockets tight!! Breaks your hand trying to get change out of your pocket!

couple of things...first, the pocket stitching is fuckin' insane on Skulls, mine are 9 months old and just now reasonable...

another, and this is a MAYBE so..

if they DO stop producing them I might be able to help some people out...depends on if I go to Japan this year or not (new camera sapped my funds) but if I do, I'll for sure stop at Hinoya and some other shops which sell skulls, and if they still have them there i'd be happy to be a cheap proxy.

time will tell. hope they don't stop production, and hope the dollar / yen exchange improves, thats why prices are up. so if they do stop making these, i'll be back on this thread in January potentially taking a few orders...
