I went 7ish months before the first wash. Anyhow, I'm finally able to sag these things instead of making them hug my ass.

compared to

my god that is the exact fit i am looking for from my jeans..i would consider them perfect.

what height are you, and what size are the jeans??

i've read the thread multiple times but i can't seem to find any definite answers as to how much the waist stretches. if i'm a 31 true waist, should i just size down one to a 30?

You shouldn't size down for Skulls at all. If you have big thighs, size up. If not, then stay true to size.

charlie.lim - you could easily wear a 30. that isn't sizing down. a size 30 skull raw measures 31" in the waist. and it will stretch up to 1.25"...

shinichi-san describes the 6x6 fading properties as deep blue. i see what he means now. the 6x6 hold their dark color through multiple washes. i have no experience with the 7x6, but they are lighter weight, so they likely offer an easier, all-over fade like APC for example. unrelated, i updated my 5010xx blog in the link below. lots of evo pics if anyone's interested.

Ohhh thats cool. Sounds like the 6x6's would end up offering some pretty sharp contrasting fades...more like samurais and flat heads. Nice pictures on your blog. Can't wait to see how they're gonna look in 4 or 5 months.

my true waist is 31"ish, so I sized down 0.5.

I'm very curious how the black denim will develope with time. right now i have the feeling that it will be super hard to get some nice fading....

i wear a 33 in dukes and a 33 in 5010XX 6x6 raw. both fit perfectly. so i suggest if you like the way your dukes fit then get a 34 in the skulls as well.

^^^ yes!!! for as hard as you seem to wear them i cant believe any holes did not form. good shit though. mine 6x6 one wash and those things are tough as fuck!!! had to wash them once finally because they were dirty and they smelled.

Well in my back left pocket, i usually put my wallet. In my back right pocket, i usually put random things in there such as my ipod , car keys, and chapstick.
