Why do people usually size up one from the New Cure? I understand APC stretches more, but the measurements of the 19cm are a little bit bigger- and its not as if the thighs stretch that much anyway.

Obviously 19cm and 17.5cm models are very different in thighs, but also different 19cm models do vary, albeit very little, maybe a quarter of an inch tops. A very slim model for one is Day after Day from FW08, very nice fit, slightly more fitted in the knees and calves also. Anyways, I don't think a real classifiction as to which jeans has the biggest/smallest thighs etc. is possible.

We were sure they were MII raws, and probably 21cm.

Well, they are actually MIJ 19cm Silver Selvedge. Anyone know anything about these? I have heard they fade less...how about the stretching/fit as they age?

If they're blues they should fade just fine (maybe slower though), but my black silver selvages have like no fades after almost a year of daily wear.

I almost picked some up at 50% off, ironically, from the DH store sale at the end of SS09...but it was just too much of a PITA, they wouldn't just do a CC sale, I had to fax them an autho form and everything.

I'll get some fit pics up, eventually...still haven't got fit pics of the last 20 things I've bought, lol

But yeah I'm pretty happy, it's nice to have something different than MII raw, even though that's what I was expecting

sometimes the best things in life are surprises.

i ordered a pair of dr. martens x yohji boots once for 70 bucks from yoox, turns out they are worth near 1k. they were so cheap bcuz they were listed as just plain dr.martens

They fit a little more generously in the waist actually, especially considering that my MII raws are considerably older.

yea thats what i heard. would you recommend sizing down one or is the difference small?

I dunno, if I had known this, I probably would have sized down 1...since I own the black raws in 27W (yeah, I have it backwards).

But on the other hand, it's good to have a pair of well-fitting jeans that doesn't hurt.

MIJ 19cm a week or two, probably almost done being stretched out

i'm 6', 160lbs should i hem? i'm not used to the large amount of stacking.

the legs also seem a bit wide, thinking of tapering them a bit

what do you guys think? again, i'm going for tragicbliss's fit.

Nope, stacks look fine.

I think they are fine as is...you could taper if you wanted, but the length is fine. I'm 5'6" and I don't hem.

waxing moon owners - is the fit like raws, or clawmarks, what's the stretch factor - ie, is the underlying jean washed, or raw waxed denim?

surprised to see dior in london didn't order any raws this season.

No info on the moons, but does dior London have any clawmarks (or Selfridges or w/e)? was thinking about a Lodon trip and I'm in the need of blue clawmarks.

Was thinking about ordering from Luisa, I'd appreciate some comments about the pair. I think somebody has posted something a while back, but I thought there might be some new opinions.

hey, selfridges has black clawmark, harrods has the blue - but only not that many sizes are left in either.

and i believe the prices next season are gonna explode.

i would recommend asking either advancedart or the grapist

in the worst case you can check on some japanese sites like yahoo.jp or rakuten and buy with a proxy

slimjim, looks good. Seems like they sit a little high on your waist though; probably after a little stretching they will sit a bit more on the hips.

Can you describe these jeans? I was thinking about getting them but can't remember what the denim is like. Is there a slight wax coating, or is it just a wash? If it's a wax, is it uniform all the way down the leg, or does it get thicker at the bottom. Thanks

They are indigo denim coated lightly all around (uniform). they are kinda stiff & yes, they seem bit tight around the waist ATM as the fabric feels bit thick, but they'll be fine once broken in & I was told these look better w/ age.
