Sorahiko by 45rpm stretch.

I picked up a pair of the 14oz Sorahiko jeans from the R by 45rpm store and they fit abit snug right now...does anyone know about how much this denim will stretch or how long it should take. The guy at the store said it should stretchout in a few hours but with my experience with APCs it took a couple weeks of regular wear. I've worn them around the house for the last couple nights and they really aren't stretching much and still fit tight as hell and i'm thinking about returning them...any help?

Well, depends on how snug...when i first bought 'em they were a 32 and fit perfect in the waist, snug but not digging into my stomach tight...i've had 'em since first week of september, never washed 'em and i can still wear them without a belt, although i did notice an approximately half inch give in the waist after about the first week of wear. They've settled down now and i wear 'em like 2 times a week.

If they are still "as tight as hell" after wearing them a few times try to return them. If they won't let you for some reason ask for a size exchange explaining that they did not strech like the salesman said they would.

they aren't "tight as hell" but they are snug at the waist and do ride up abit. i sprayed some water on the inside of the waist and tugged on them alittle to loosen them up abit and that worked some but if i were to say eat a large pizza they would be really uncomfortable afterwards. let's just say i've worn them for about 15 hours and as i said i know my APCs took almost two weeks to get fully stretched but as i said the guy at the store said only a few hours and they would reach max. stretch and well he is the expert and i have zero experience with this particular type of denim but i really don't want to believe it. i don't want to return them and go up a size because the 30 (mine are 29) were way to baggy. so anyone with experience buying this jean pretty tight in the waist i would like to hear how they stretched out.

they run mid 3's and yes they are excellent quality. i was out looking to buy jeans and i went to the r by 45rpm store first and tried on the 9.5 oz and 14 oz and honestly i wasn't blown away by the fit at first but as spent more time in them at the store i grew to like the early 501 fit but anyway i left without buying them and headed over to a store that carried alot of highend denim and tried on some other brands and the sales clerk asked what exactly i had been looking for and i said i tried on the 45rpms and he said that he wouldn't even bother with anything else and to just pick those up as they are one of the best jeans you can get stateside....so i went back and bought them. now if only i could get them to stretch out alittle more they would be perfect.

it wasn't atrium. i went there a few weeks ago and the sales guy was a dick and totally unhelpful when it came to my inquires about washing/stretching Nudies and well the overall vibe in that place is the worst. it's like a combination teeniebopper/fratdude wasteland. i refuse to buy from anyplace that doesn't offer good customer service and in NYC and with Jeans i would say Famous Friends/45rpm/Steven Alan/Barneys have all been great. any other recommendations?
