SUFU Fantasy Football (Soccer) 2008/09

The premier league has started up their fantasy football game again for the new season. Seems pretty early but I reckon the earlier I get this post up the more people I can get to join up this time round.

Polishmike suggested an entry fee of $20 which seems pretty reasonable ... first gets the main pot second his/her $20 back. More entries we might have more spots for prizes ...

Anyway the leagues set up I can pm the code once monies and that are sorted out. I'm more than willing to take the money but I think everyone would be more comfortable with whoever took it last season to step up to the plate again.

Suggestions are welcome.

I think Kasper took the money last time. I'm not even sure who won (I was second) but we only had a very small group of people. If we get more than 6 I think we can do two winners if it's 6 or less we should do winner takes all.

I'm cool with fatchino collecting the money and distributing the code once he gets paid.

I think you won it the last time. I was 1st, but wasn't part of the money league.

I didn't win, trust me I remember when I win (especially money). I also remember the other league that you won and you didn't have enough points to win the cash one I also schooled everyone in the Euro league so bring it on, this year I'm taking the premiership as well

like i said to fatchino, i wouldn't mind collecting the money again, but my paypal is in C$ and i have to pay an FX premium every time i receive and send money so i figured it'd be better if someone in the states could collect.

OK not overwhelmed by the interest shown in this yet but its still early days. We can keep registration for the league open for approx another month ... think the Premiership starts around 15th aug or so.

Like Kasper I'm based out side of the US (my paypal account is UK pounds) so depending on where most entrants are from it might suit to have someone else take the money. Hopefully we can get a few more entrants; as Polishmike says only the price of a pint (and two more really) to play. A little bit of cash will hopefully maintain interest in it throughout most of the season too!

OK I think we might as well make a start on taking money in for this. Still a few weeks to go but best to organise as soon as possible. We can get teams entered into the league now ... you can make unlimited transfers until the start of the new season so no problem if you're waiting for Keane to Liverpool or Berbatov to Utd etc ...

If everyone pays me in GBP (£) does that mean we won't lose anything to paypal (other than the god awful 3% paypal fees)?

I'll take money whenever ... I think it's best to get a minimum of 5 in the league first ... shouldn't be too hard. I'll PM everyone who's posted here league code and paypal dets now. Please let me know your team name whenever you enter so we can keep track of who's who.
