Before we drop off Sugar Canes 1945's

here is the rundown on the prices

100+ contestants = $180

50+ contestants = $190

The inseams vary from 34" to 34.5" inches. We can still use the 1945's if you guys want to, just let me know. Also, we can do a prize so any suggestions are welcome.

Currently I said a Denim Banner with winning contestant name on it or a free pair of jeans. Who knows? any ideas?

Any ideas? Denim Banner with winning contestant

the sugar canes sound great only that 34 inseam will be a 32 inseam or less when I done and then they're worthless to me unless I'm in a flood...

Dude, that's awesome. I say people that want to wear the 45s should pm you so you can get a count.

I don't think there's a heavy discussion with Edwins right now. Right now, we should just reformat title and the polls. Unless we wait until DP gives us an option from Gordon. Otherwise the sugarcane seems like a go until we see how legit this is...

Alright guys...

Right now we're in a debacle with all these jean suggestions and what not. So we would like to finalize everything so that we can be set and ready to go:

As of the cuts:

1.)FULL COUNTS 1105

Price: N/A

Inseam:35"

Repro Type: Levis

2.)STUDIO D'ARTISAN 101

Price: N/A

Inseam:35"

Repro Type: Levis

3.)SUGAR CANE 1945

Price:$180 w/ 100+ or $190 w/ 50+ (Discounted Price)

Inseam:34 to 34.5"

Repro Type: Lee

4.) Other - Specify

There will be no customizations for the Sugar Cane 1945's, but maybe Denim Phenom can work something out with Studio D'Artisan and the Fullcount. There are however other suggestions such as Real Mccoy's, LHT Samurai's, and etc. So what I would like to know and do is, if people are interested, I would like to compile a list of contestants and the jeans that they would like to wear. If there is a large enough contestant pool, would the idea of a Levis vs. Lee a good idea? One competition - two jeans.

is there enough people to start compiling a list?

Also, if people are interested in just sugar canes

we can probably do a 1945 vs 1947 contest.

There is a prize that hopefully I can cook up with Tony & SC, hopefully it's legit.

I emailed Gordon with a few more questions about pricing for the jeans and customization.

He gave me a idea of where our jeans would be by comparing them to the Warehouse 660 contest jeans. Those were going to retail for $235 but with the large amount of people that purchased them he was able to get the price down to $145.

The more people we have that are interested in purchasing either the FC or the SDA (which ever one is chosen) we'll probably pay around $200 for them.

I asked if we could change the color of the patch lettering to green and he said that probably wouldn't be a problem. If someone wants to work on a special patch then I think now would be the time to mock that up.

^ there will be details on who to PM. If we do choose to make a Battle of two jeans, I assume DP will be handling the Levi's and I'll be handling the Lee's?[ I want the levis :( ]

but anyways, we will discuss sign up's soon.

Again, if we want to keep the contest to ONE brand, we could just pick sugar canes

1947 vs 1945, but however, there will not be any customizations,

but the prices of sugar canes will be lower than $200.

If you want customizations, you can pick either the FC 1105 or the SDA 101, with customization, which according to DP, will be $200.

how will the prize fit in with this group? As of now, I am trying to get Sugar Cane to hopefully devise a radical prize for this contest, but if there will be two different brands, how will the Sugar Cane prize fit in ? Will there be two prizes?

For the Levi's side I think we'll end up choosing one jean, not both. I guess we'll only have to poll the Levi's jeans since the 45s are the only Leepro option right now and the one that has had the most work done towards obtaining.

I'll continue emailing Gordon and asking the questions that come up.

I'm thinking we could have a prize for the Levi's side as well. Best Levi's get a prize, best Lee gets a prize. I think that would only be fair.

Mr. Invincible, do you think you could come up with a patch for either the FC or SDA. I think you could be creative enough to come up with something good. I don't know if BiG is going to have a big part in this or if they just want to be the middle man in making the contest easier on our part.

[get outta here beatle! you got your own contest! jay kay, jay kay.]

[wow, these full counts are wicked.]

well the only reason why I suggest using both jeans as Sugar Canes is because we can assign one prize for the winner of the two instead of having two prizes for each category. Just my two cents. If people are still interested in using Full Counts or SDA 101, it does not matter to me.

So I guess right now people have to choose the Full Counts 1105 or the SDA 101s for the levi's category? If that is the case, I would personally like to see the Sugar Canes 1947s up in that poll as well just to see.

And for the Lee repros? Do I have enough people interested in the Lee side? the 1945's particularly? For myself, I do not know if I will pick the 1945's for this competition. I am just a messenger of people's interest.

Also, I will try to Design a patch, but no guarantees DP because currently I am trying to design a clothing piece hopefully by the end of this month. Will BIG be included in this patch? more details please and hopefully I can get something. Also, I hope other people can pitch in as well, would LOVE to see some variation.

Looks like you guys got a good roll going on. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to be dropping out of these. While I'm still hoping I can even squeeze in to the Dry Bones one...I actually just picked up a pair of FH S5003 for mad cheap...so there's my relaxed pair for me already.
