NY'ers - Does ATT service still suck in NY?

I want to get an Iphone when the new one drops in June, but I don't want to go through the horrible service that I had years ago. Is the coverage/service improved? I'm currently on Sprint's Sero plan, but with the developer kits I think I'll be able to use my Iphone for a lot more when the programs start rolling in.

I work up by Rock Center and I drop calls all the time on my Blackberry. Never have problems in other parts of the city though...

Yeah with the recent running out of stock and an Apple corporate email restricting employees from taking vacation from like June 20th to second week of July the 3g Iphone is supposed to drop around then and be talked about at apple keynote in June.

i'd say at&t is one of the best. that and verizon are the only real choices - sprint's coverage on the island is fine but is crazy bad in jersey

i have t-mobile blackberry service and its significantly improved over the last year.

I got Tmobile and it gets service everywhere and no random drops and shit idk about Cingular (ATT) my moms has it never hear any complaining from her

apple/at&t might start subsidizing the iphone. each iphone creates a constant revenue stream for apple because they share profits from iphone data plans.
