I have a clutch motor, so there is no speed controller, but I can control The speed with my foot. I think the stitches on the front look wavey cause of angle/wavyness of the leather. The stitches are straight...

If that is the case, then I'm very sorry for indicating that your stitches weren't straight.

Ahh that looks great, I like that it's in the center of the room, it'll be easy to set up a few different stations on there.

I spotted some Jesus beams coming in my window the other day so I snapped a quick picture:

And I also finally have a whole closet dedicated to leather storage, no more worries about sunburn or the neighbor lady's sprinkler coming in the window.

I had a brilliant idea about buckle storage yesterday, hopefully I can show that off in action soon.

Nice work spaces, guys! I just moved into a tiny house, and I don't seem to have a good place to work. Right now, I'm at a little desk in the laundry room, where there isn't much light. Once I can find a decent set of cabinets, I'll probably go back to working at my old drafting table in front of a window in the living room.

Not exactly leather, but I made a laundry bag using some Cone Mills selvage denim and some leather. You can read about the process here.

That is broken twill. I have three kinds of Cone Mills denim (plus a wide assortment of vintage denims), and I decided on the broken twill because I won't be making jeans out of it. It find it better suited for accessories and bags.

Sorry for polluting the leather creations thread. It has been mighty quiet in here for some time, and I figured we needed something to watch.

Today, I made something out of leather... A key wallet for my brother-in-law.

Pretty quick and ultra simple make-up, but if you want to read more, go to ATD.

I bought some leather from a Tandy in houston when I was there and its 4-5oz. (I think its really 3-5oz). Im thinking about making some wallets and cardholders with them. Anyway to make them even like 4oz all around? Also is 4oz too thick for what im trying to make? Thanks guys.

Whether its too thick or not really depends on how you design the wallet.

Quite coincidentally, I recently made this wallet that is 4-5oz all around. Designed to be slim, minimalistic and simple in construction without compromising functionality and security.
