The leather is wild cow - so there should be natural defects from an animals life time.

wow, jcot post does highlight the difference between the scoop length. I'm sure when the shoulders loosen up the back section will drop slightly.

I agree. I'd possibly go for that option while dressing-down, that being said, seeing the boots in person would make for an easier assessment.
