anybody here use DC++? I used to, but left due to a lack of a cohesive hub that made me feel like I belonged to a particular community. however, if anybody can suggest one, or even find one that we can use, that would be awesome. I have over 1,000 albums waiting for you...

if yer on waffles or what, there's a hub set up called Hydra. do a forum search on either site you'll find info on how to get invited. what client do you use? i have ApexDC++ ...it's ok.

I'm not sure. I plug my ethernet cable in my dorm, boot up dc (or shakespeare for macs), it brings me to my university network where theres about 300 kids on at any given time..its pretty crazy it tells you which dorm they live in and everything...its just kids in the dorms though and it doesn't connect wirelessly

yes.

dc++ works outside of LAN connections. ppl just connect to public or private hubs and offer folders to be shared.
