Is 19oz denim too thick for california weather?

i got 21oz sammies...lol in socal it gets hot i havent even worn them outside yet haha just indoors for now cuz they are too tight but thats beside the fact. if you can tolerate it its fine.. the sweat will result in better fades

i wore my sexih's all summer and had no problem. i think it depends on the feel of the denim as much as the weight. ih denim is pretty soft vs. say samurai which can be pretty stiff at first.

i literally just recieved my samurais s710xx, and i do not think its too thick, plus i think ima get iron hearts 21 oz after this, but definitely not in the summer though cuz i was sweating balls with my apcs in the summer and when i was in china it was 50,000,000 times worse

Roll 'em short in the summer time so air can get in around the ankles, makes a big difference

i have 21oz SDAs and good god. i normally already sweat a lot, but with these...its a fucking massacre. at least its cold now in norcal and its bearable.

i wear a 19oz pair in South East Asia w/o any problems...But then again, I don't go out in the sun often. and we get a a/c everywhere...

actually sweat and body oils damage denim.

it depends on the individual, and how much time you will be out the hot air/sun, and the level of activity. this summer (here in VA) i did some roofing work in my 19oz, and i bore through it. if i had on 14oz. i dont know if my comfort level would've increased much.

like all the other nor cal folks, im very glad to be wearing my 19oz sammies in this weather.

I think 19oz is fine in california, it gets hot, but at least its not humid. i literally felt like i was going to melt when i was in the philippines with my < 13oz apcs on this past summer.
