Canada Goose will most likely not be "budget." Try Woolrich for something very similar and close to your price range.

I'm also in the market, but personally I'm leaning toward APC or Hare.

I usually default to my Supreme Moleskin M65 from three seasons back. Or, I go with layering. I have a Lowe Aleutian fleece that I pair with my Arcteryx Scorpion, colors don't match, but kept me warm during a storm at Whistler.

APC ahd a parka either this season or last season and the fit rocked and it was warm as hell.

But it was something over $450.

i have a northface one it was like $300ish, i've worn it past 3 years, and will again this winter, still in excellent shape, keeps me really warm

I dont have a parka per say

but i snowboard so what i do have is a Holden ring jacket from a few years ago, had a few others since i got it but they sucked so i stuck with this one, looking to get a good collection of holden stuff this year though

i have a black canada goose expedition parka. a friend bought one for me last year but i didnt wear it all that much here.

i'm pretty sure i'm going to get something from h&m. and/or a short vintage peacoat. found a nice one in the ladies' section at a vintage shop recently that was double-breasted and could button on either side, so it's ladies-section provenance wouldn't be obvious.

If I had the scratch, I'd be getting the Oliver Spencer peacoat I tried on last week. Goddamn, that thing was sweet.

There was a nice Helmut Lang parka from last season marked down to the $250-300 range at Barneys but I'm guessing it's long gone. Might be able to find it for a similar price on Yoox?

i have a north face that i've had since freshman year of high school (about 10 years old) that is still like new. this shit will never die.

i don't get cold very easily as long as the wind is blocked, so for this season, i grabbed one of the uniqlo lined mcintosh jackets and am going to pickup a stone island button collar sweater (these things are heavy as fuck)

as far as going budg, i'd definitely check out H+M and army surplus. MA-1 flight jackets, fishtail parkas (mod classic!) and shit like that are super warm and not that expensive. i don't know why you need a parka in LA though. isn't freezing there like 40 degrees?

I was at Ransom a couple weeks ago and they had those ALIFE Canada Goose jackets for three bills down from a grand. Didn't have my size though, only XS and XL. The quality was amazing though.

I prefer wool coats over parkas. Right now I've got a single-breasted knee-length, satin-lined, 3-button coat with velvet collar detail & sleeve stripes. This year I'm hoping to get a nice peacoat, H&M has a good one within my low budget.

I was going to go with a pea coat for this season too, but then i found gloverall duffles on sierratradinpost for 2 bills. i applied the 30% coupon and paid $160 for a brand new charcoal gloverall. should be here in about a week.

Im in Boston for school. I want something a step up from H&M, last jacket I bought there was great looking but couldnt keep me warm at all.
