First time posting in the Evo thread - and I think the first IA's in the thread as well:

102 wears at the time the pics were taken, taken right after a first hot soak

The color's a little bit darker than in these pics. But you can see how much they've lightened up compared to the darkness of the lower-legs!

Now we'll see what the Brasilian sun (& sweat) does to these. That is, if the sun EVER comes out in Rio again.... (middle of the summer here and it's about 21 or 22 celsius and raining off and on every day).

Washed my Okinawas again.

Got mad muddy checking up on the denim experiment.

Before.

I did an hour long hot soak, then a cold wash in the washing machine.

Hot soak to shrink em back (stretched due to riding.) Cold wash to keep em a good size.

After.

Shitty pics.

Not bad for a bit over 2 months, I guess.

Worn since November 2nd. I forgot the first time I washed em. Whatever.

that looks good, esp if the rest of the jeans are wearing along at that pace...the whole falling apart aesthetic looks nice.

problem is the jeans im workin on, that thing looks like it might come along, and even those orange threads round the pocket are starting to unravel...yet the jeans look hardly worn everywhere else

no they haven't. There is a little more contrast in real life, the lighting was pretty bad. From what i've seen, after the first big wash from the 6 month on they fade a ton, so i'm excited to see how they continue.

haha yeah, i have worn them nearly every day. A few bike rides but not as many as i would like, i'm going to keep doing it but it's really cold lately. We'll see how they look after the wash.

A pair of well worn RRDS are still great looking jeans. Too bad they got "played out" so quick. To each their own, but I got sick of the stitching in a hurry, whatever though. I still have two pair of Nudies I try to wear.

I think thats the first fade I have seen that I would consider embarassing to wear. I don't mean to flame at all but its a very very funny and unique fade.

My first pair.. Its the el-cheapo STF from JCPenney/Sears.. $30

4 months, cold machine wash with woolite dark

7 months, same plus 1/2 listerine capful of bleach (i had nothing to loose, and yes, i threw the cap out)

8 months, im getting bored with them already

any comments welcome, and any tips would be greatly appreciated..
