I miss the Peel show.

His demise sent UK Radio in a directionless spin and all we have is misinformed talentless wanabees now. Rob da bank is alright but he can't fill Peels boots. Radio 1 should have given Karl Hyde his show.

Impossible to name my favourite peel Session.

Christ. was good. GY!BE was another I enjoyed. Boards of Canada? hmn. Only

really classic ones I caught was Nirvana.

His Shellac sessions from 2004 are the best thing I've ever heard, with the Smiths sessions at a somewhat close second.

I am not living in the West, so I gotta ask you guys- How do you get hold of the Peel Sessions?

Is there some sort a definitive collection thrown into a "best of" CD? Or do you buy them according to sessions from separate artistes?

The only thing I've found is the John Peel website on BBC Radio 1, which only has 30 second snippets of the 125 best shows. Help?

The Sound. no, not the shitty band the Sounds, the Sound.

it is a travesty that more people don't know about them.

The Smiths, Syd Barrett, and of course Maher Shalal Hash Baz (".. and hopefully they will do another one for us before we are very much older." :()

I enjoyed The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Onemancult - I can't agree more. Jeopardy is one of my favourite albums.

I've never heard their peel sessions. Is there a release ?
