found these on ebay, some japanese fakes...cant make up my mind if I like them or hate them. $40 but $25 shipping. Probably poor quality.

They look like clarks desert boots with a pointier toe and even thinner sole. About the same price as you can get em' on ebay too. I'd personally say no. You don't like clarks in the "sand" light grey color? Maybe it's just because i'm not a fan of the point toe.

Not sure whether to buy this - have only recently bought a down jacket but only have the one. Saw this on sale - 40% off and really liked it. But does one need two puffa/down jackets? Probably not. Anyone got any opinions? What do you think?

I don't wear puffy jackets, but if I did, it'd definitely be the Monclers. I've tried on that black one and its as well-fitting as a puffy jacket can be.

what material is the ervell one? it looks like an unstructured one so u might want to consider that. i'm not a fan of the first one, though.

I like the second one better. You really should try them on cause they are very different cuts. The first one is nice but it didn't fit me well.

thanks folks. Yeah the first one is tim hamilton. I was at odin yesterday and they told me that they returned all of theirs because they had some problem with the material. But maybe it was just their batch, because bergdorf had it in stock, just not in my size.

To be honest i don't think I've ever worn an "unstructured" jacket, and I don't know the ervell line terribly well, so I will definitely try it on. Hopefully they carry it at NDG.

I know some people were dissappointed with Ervells s/s 08, but from the images online some of the grey outerwear/jackets looked very nice.

i got one at odin in new york a few months ago that's really large scale houndsooth and made out of cowhide. call them up and they might be able to send you pictures of their selection, because they have a lot.
