The Anti BIG / SE

One of the unexpected bonuses is watching diamonds' and Tyro1's avatars together.

sorry, what did you say? i just had an epileptic seizure

speaking of episodes, if iirc the lawsuit correctly, jp stores can't ship jeans with tags, arcuates, imitation patches, etc. out of the country anyway - or at least they can't do it above board

also, we're sort of in limbo in terms of branding; many of these companies are still devising new logos and so on that will appear on their jeans from next season forward, as we recently saw with pbj

and part of me thinks op knows he's making an idiotic argument, but just did it to stir shit up

if so, congratulations!

I can't even begin to imagine Sammies without the accurates. The Sammies, Sugarcanes, et al that they carry now are no different to Denime -- I've always thought the differences in accurates of these brands made them unique.

Yes, I see... Because the cut, color, quality, construction, texture, weight, and dying/fading properties of all of these brands are exactly the same...

at the risk of beating a dead horse (or a silly person),

the idea that BiG and SE have "bastardized" Japanese denims in any way is utter bollox. Aside from the detailed information and history they provide on their websites, they have been more than generous enough in actively participating here.....eager to share their knowledge and understanding of something that clearly means a great deal to them.

I may be going out on a limb here, but I highly doubt Japanese Denim companies (no matter how traditional) are upset at the fact that they are gaining global interest, and of course a bit of profit through Big & SE opening doors and bridging that intense language barrier.

i studied mandarin for almost 6 years, but i'm still up shit's creek trying to read kanji, so i owe a lot to these stores:D

in fact i'm tempted to find out where in philly Poly and the others are just so we can be a group people wearing japanese denim in the same room...and i bet that number of people would be no more 20.....out of the 1.5 million+ just in this city..

bolloX

wow. you are a fucking idiot. someone, for the love of god, please trash this thread.

Congrats. I can't remember anybody making a post that made miz answer so angrily.

Maybe if your header didn't say Anti...?

I don't really know that BiG can put the squeeze on anyone in Japan. It's a really small place (even though the initials make it seem less so) and they and kiya seem to be doing it out of their love/fascination for the product. It's really a gamble to do this, it's such a small market in the US (at least I think so, haven't even seen anyone here sporting any JPN jeans that aren't Evisu or RM) even though this board makes it look like there's a ton of demand.

I remember when everybody was fucking frantic trying to get their right size, and selling their mistakes in the 'market. I'm pretty sure they hold nothing against either store.

Granted, BIG and SE have the Cool Stuff -- (without the accurates I must add) All their denim now look alike. Quite frankly, I think both BIG and SE are starting to become too bloody mainstream. I can't even begin to imagine Sammies without the accurates. The Sammies, Sugarcanes, et al that they carry now are no different to Denime -- I've always thought the differences in accurates of these brands made them unique. Till Levis came along with thier bloody lawsuit. Am I the only one who feels this way? I've heard the Japanese stores who used to ship out here to the US can't anymore because BIG is putting the squeeze. I suppose BIG is starting to flex their muscles like Levis. Who knows BIG/SE might end carrying the same type of Levis one would find at your local Macy's.

BOOYAH!

Denim is so mainstream / last year.

Don't even wear jeans anymore. I just paint my legs blue every morning. Mad blueball fade by 3pm.

YES! finally this wonderful trend has caught on. I've been doing this for awhile now and I love it. I just spray on any color pants and shirt and walk outside. I feel so free, so liberated and I can let my creativity run wild. This is from today, when I went for a walk around the lake:

One green leg, one blue. Beats regular 'ole jeans any day!

(pssst: the boots are spray on too! :D)

dear Jane, the spray on titties that you speak of....are they available in a D cup?

Thinking about getting some for myself. And where to cop online? Also do they feel like real titties?

yes, they are available in a D! you spray them on in the morning and they're good but if it's hot out they start to melt by late afternoon. That might be nice for guys that like the saggy boobie look, i think. Size down if you want perky nips.
