Seeing as this will probably be deleted from WAYWT very soon. the last discussion:

why the hell did my last post here and replies to it got deleted and who did it?

just because i said soeporn photoshopped her ass crack in her last pic here? this forum is so BS sometimes...

The mods are on a bit of a mad tip. I had a post of entirely constructive criticism deleted, probably before nemoulette even got to read it.

Apparently it was OK for hewmiri to clutter up the topic by quoting his own WAYWT post though. This is exactly why we need an open moderation log, which I believe members have been asking for since a long old time ago.

I'll just briefly state my take on this..

I delete posts somewhat with the following priority/order:

- offensive posts, harsh comments

- useless/irrelevant posts

- uneccesary chitchat cluttering the thread

the first ones go right away, the latter ones can easily go unoticed. the main goal of moderating the thread is to remove offensive posts and to avoid the thread getting cluttered with uneccesary chatting and to keep focus on posting pics. brief commenting has been allowed so far. the thread moves extremely fast and is moderated based on random browsing, no one is getting paid to spend hours a day going through every single.

you said that constructive criticism made by you was deleted, if this occurs please contact a moderator directly and we can see of some kind of a mistake was made.

edit: I searched for posts made by you, and your last deleted post in waywt was from yesterday, the post in which you inquired about the amount of bumsex hewmiri gave to chris. don't say that mods are on a "mad trip" if comments like this get deleted.

Oh, I'm quite aware of that one... I did find it odd that noone deleted hewmiri's quote of himself, which was surely unnecessary clutter that led to that post and other useless posts in the first place...

A little searching and I found my other post which went AWOL... not so much deleted as apparently displaced by the soepom's asscrack scandal (or more to the point the deletion of).

Still, some kind of notification would be nice. A slap on the wrist PM or something.

you're right about that post. but fact is that its not possible to be 100% fair about deleting posts, sometimes certain posts go unoticed and theres no perfectly accurate way to determine whats useless and whats not.

as far as I know theres no system or option that would log deleted posts with them being visible to the poster, nor a notification system. sending individual messages for every deletion is a bit too much.

it's not about being winny bitches, it's just that it is plain stupid to have an internet forum that is stupidly moderated to the point where posts are deleted for no reason.so tell me mike, in which category of eligible-for-delete does my post fall from the ones you mentioned ?

Superfuture is rather loosely moderated, these things have to do with how large the community is and what standards have been set, if you want to join a smaller community where things are usually more permissive because of the small amount of members and their familiarity with each others I suggest trying the streetwear section of "Styleforum". If you want to see a truly large community where very strong standards are enforced theFashionSpot might make you realize what heavily moderated mean.

Keep in mind that Superfuture is growing and want to expand their horizons by having more women and "high fashion" fans posting so this added diversity will only result in more not less moderation in the future.

PS: Mike deletes your posts because when I'm browsing WAYWT I don't want to have to go through thousands of retarded comments, "constructive criticism" and catfights, I believe a lot of posters are in the same boat as I am.

i understand what you are saying, but u are missing the point completely.

my post was just:" did u just photoshop ur ass crack?ahahah"

it wasn't offensive, much less a retarded commment, it was a mere observation of the truth, therefore there was no reason for deleting it. it was not cluttering the thread nor a catfight, it wasn't something that was going to create a discussion out of it.

i just thought it funny that she actually did that, and commented.

not tell me fuuma, do you think there was a reason to delete my post now that you know it's content?

I think the reason your post was deleted is astoundingly obvious: it was, by definition, "cluttering the thread." More than that, it was obnoxious, and obnoxious comments tend to lead to flamewars and what-have-you.

If you really feel like making these sort of comments... well, we have Supertrash for a reason.

As far as "Constructive Criticism" goes, if you're really interested in offering them advice and not just showing off your clear fashion superiority and knowledge, I would suggest PM'ing them.

You're going away from the point rather, I doubt 99% of the Sufu pop has serious beef with the moderation. However, a lot of people would like to be able to see the moderation process rather than occasionally notice posts or entire strings of posts going AWOL with what can appear without a PM, note or mod log to be no rhyme or reason.

he actually was perfectly on point.

- your post was uneccesary, it didn't really contribute to the thread at all and someone might've easily found it offensive. Servo above for example just said that he found it obnoxious.

- by the time I deleted your post it had already generated atleast 4 replies or quotes. is this not exactly what were talking about with cluttering up the thread? had I not deleted those replies, someone might've replied to those posts again, and again and again.

I'm not gonna explain it any further, if you really don't understand this its not my problem. if you cant deal with this level of moderation (which is very low) then you can make your own conclusions and decisions based on that.

Double D, I can understand what youre getting at, but fact is that its not an option this forum has at the moment. some kind of a notice would probably be good, but theres no way it can be done manually and as such a system does not exist, we'll have to deal with the situation.

thus far PMs have been the most effective manner of communication when an issue with moderation arises. it's not a perfect medium by far, but it gets the job done in most cases. what i would recommend is taking up any grief through private channels.

i think we all have to understand that modding is a qualitative job, and not something that runs according to pre-determined calculations of "how useless is this post?" if mike lets something pass, another member will assume a precedent has been set, and so this puts him in a spot. what is the value of moderation then?

you have a valid point about having the right to know when something has been deleted and why. but while i do make it a point to PM people whose posts i move or delete, alot of things fall through the gaps of my attention. and that's just the denim board, which is arguably one of the easiest to moderate. a PM by the global mods for every post they delete...wow.

besides, unless you've been watching soepom photoshopping, how on earth can you know it's the "truth" and not just a groundless and obnoxious reply

this is like the 5th time that this happens to me that i have noticed, and it makes no sense whatsoever.i wasn't being disrespectful to anyone and the fact is that she photoshopped her ass crack, deal with it mods. and about 2 or 3 replys of people laughing about it along with the rep i received are also deleted.

i will admit that the picture does look dubious now that you've pointed that out.

however, it's one thing to post your opinions on another person's fit, and another to pass off false claims as 'facts'.

the aprils are not low-rise. and my top is short 'cos cheap bangkok tanks shrink in the wash - what you saw was my lower back.

returning to topic,

whilst i too would prefer a more transparent process of moderation, seeing as how mike has already explained that such a system is difficult to implement, i agree that a pm to the mods in any contentious situation would suffice for now.

besides, i think that so far the mods have been keeping communication channels with members healthily open. mike is not obliged to account for deletion - his mod status endows him with the right to delete at his discretion, but he responded to Egpt's discontentment anyways.

moderation is a tedious and generally thankless task. the least we could do is to show some respect for the people who try and keep this forum a decent space. there is nothing wrong with being dissatisfied with the existing state of things of course, but it's not like our moderators and managers are oblivious to our concerns either.

whoa people are talking about me. I apologize for quoting myself, I thought it would be funny at the time... lame excuse but I was really drunk. no harm done though? right?

and I didn't catch your bumsexing Chris thing... hot.

Ha, Mike made it sound like it was a lot worse than it was. I just made a jibe about how similar your fit was to an everyday Chris fit, more so than half the imitation fits in the outtakes thread.

no worries. chris and I have similar body types and I bought that cardigan off him. don't see how I'm more similar to chris than everyone else on here is to everyone else, though.

and back to the me quoting myself thing, at least I don't cross post every picture to chat edition like you do, along with everyone else. :)

Black Chris cardigan+black skinnies+black DIDs+black skinny everything else... hell, all you'd need to do is get in front of a white door and hunch over slighly.

As to crossposting into the trash, that's a positive thing... if everyone crossposted into Chat Edition, then there'd be no complaints about getting cluttery posts deleted out of WAYWT. That's at least the way it's supposed to work, one gallery thread, one comments thread.

If WAYWT was expressly moderated as a gallery thread, I can't see anyone complaining.

my julian red hobokens are not black sir, they are indigo. so yeah, black cardigan, indigo jeans and black leather shoes. that's REALLY FUCKING rare.

but I won't discredit chris, he IS a great inspiration to me and a lot of people on this forum I think. one of the few people I check waywt for and I've told him that...

I dont see how posting pics of yourself in 2 waywt threads is worse than quoting a picture of yourself to say how cool you are, in third person.

No I'm not. If everyone posted their fits in the chat edition, then there would be no need to post comments in regular WAYWT. As the Chat Edition is entirely unmoderated, noone would have any complaints. It's quite bloody simple really...

Seems to me like Egpt and Double D are hurt from some vicious bumsex... :-\

Not really, well, not me so much as it turns out the constructive post I was annoyed about getting deleted merely got misplaced by other shit getting deleted. The main point of this topic was to see if a moderation log was possible so that when your posts go AWOL you know why and how to behave better in future. A lot of people seem to be taking this as a 'the moderation on this forum sucks' thread, when frankly it's supposed to be a 'we'd like to see the moderation process' thread, which apparently by my current count about 81% of pollers would like.
