dear haptronic/thread lock criteria discussion

it is not my intent to get into any sort of argument or scuffle with you. if possible i would really like to discuss the criteria for thread lock downs, "miss sufu 2007" in particular. obviously the termination of posts and threads are to the discretion of the apointed mods, but did the head superfuturian or king mod ever discuss this with you (and the others) before you were knighted? did you guys get a superfuture manuel of conduct, maybe a moderator for dummies handbook, or did you guys just have an exclusibve mod picnic? are your decisions more rational or emotional?

so from what i gather, if we ever rate (the miss fufu 2007 was full of compliments) females then that particular thread shall be locked. i just don't understand why females wouldn't be flattered or inspired to actually compete for such a pretigious title. think about it, for example if kitsune's dance party in paris was totally sold out/the guest list was full, miss superfuture could just role up there, be like "do you know who i am? yo i'm miss superfuture, how dare you, you fucking frog! let me the fuck in!!" and probably get treated with v.i.p perks.

contrary to threads like these, mods (and yourself) ignore threads like i "i want to see titties, ass, legs, ass or tits polls...etc" or shit like (it's mine i know) "the best lube" or the infamous "female pleasure industry" thread. i'm not condemning these threads, but i really don't understand your logic here. liberally speaking about the female anatomy and about buying whores is less offensive then trying to honor a female superfuture member???

okay.... you can do whaetver the fuck you want (yes, we all know that superfuture is a privately owned board), but indulge me (and some other members) and please try to make me understand. i really want to understand you! i think that these kinds of open forum discussions can promote empathy, mutual respect, and could actually be enjoyable.

It's not like it's such a huge mystery as to why we have so few female members and why the existing ones barely post.

With that said, it's a fucking double standard, that's what it is. When we make sex jokes about diamonds it's all fun and nobody minds it, when it's about a woman it's suddenly creepy. Fuck that shit.

i agree, but my point refers to threads having to do with the objectification of women, ie the titties/asses/legs etc thread. i personally like them, but would definitely understand if those threads had swiftly been terminated first.

I've edited my post slightly and added my real thoughts.

But, I think it has to do with the fact that in those threads guys are falling over other women who are not members of this board, for the most part at least, while here it was solely about the SuFu women.

Sure, in theory it is all fun and games, but it is in no way applicable to the other threads you mentioned (lube, etc.) because they weren't a platform for people to point out individual members and say things like: "I wouldn't nominate her, she's obese and has zits," or "I don't think she should win because she has a really ugly ass." Do it all you want subversively on other threads, but making a single post where everyone can praise, or criticize the 6 female members on this site is just stupid.
