Spurs trade Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto to Bucks for Richard Jefferson. The Bucks then traded Oberto to Pistons for Amir Johnson.

The Washington Wizards, according to an SI.com report, sent their No. 5 pick and reserve frontcourt players Etan Thomas, Oleksiy Pecherov and Darius Songaila to the Minnesota Timberwolves for guards Mike Miller and Randy Foye.

The Portland Trail Blazers dipped into their collection of picks in the NBA draft, acquiring No. 22 from the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday in exchange for No. 24 and two second-rounders.

spurs didnt trade the wolves it was the wiz

oops I meant the bucks. I was talking about the richard jefferson deal. RJ for Bowen, Oberto and kurt thomas who are all half retired...

I think the wolves/wiz deal was ok for each side. Im not really sure where the wolves are headed now... They should've retained Kevin Mchale and Oj Mayo for that matter. They probably figured they can't win (alot) with the current lineup which is probably true but they certainly are not in position to win anymore with the #5 pick.

seems like they just making moves to make moves... whatever they come up with wont get anything meaningful done

interesting.... Im not really sure Shaq is the answer though. Is Shaq and Ilgauskis (sp) going to play together ? Thats the slowest 4/5 combo in the league hah... I guess Shaq could defend Dwight Howard or Perkins/Garnett but the one thing they cannot do is try to go through Shaq every possesion like what happened in PHX. He's too old and LeBron is too good.

The Suns are in full-on save money mode... I've read Robert Sarver (owner) is losing money like crazy, but this is kind of bad business in itself. Think Amare Stoudamire and Steve Nash are willing to come back to a team that cares more about money than winning ? They need to get rid of Alvin Gentry, get a real coach and get rid of Steve Kerr. They can't just go on selling all their draft picks while they grow old. They ether need to

a. make a huge move to try one more time to win a championship (which isn't happening anyway)

b. trade away your old vets and start a youth movement

c. stop selling picks! you already lost rudy fernandez and sergio rodriguez, nate robinson, RAJON RONDO, for cash...

2010 will be interesting for the Suns

Im assuming you mean the wolves ? Which I would agree with. They don't have any direction or sense of "we're building something". Pretty much everyone on that team except Al Jefferson could be traded on a whim imo. I, as a Clipper fan have no reason to feel sorry for anyone though. :( At least we're getting Griffin tomorrow :)

traded to whom and for what? ny?

idk just speculating... I dont think Rubio is that great anyway. Im suprised the Kings didnt take him. Pau Gasol was on TV (Jim Rome) who avoided saying anything positive about Rubio besides he can get 10 assists. NY would love to get Rubio but im not sure what they would offer.
