seattle wouldnt pay for a new arena either though

vegas would mean that the kings games would be taken off the books. dont know if thats really feasible. i want to say i read something a long time ago about all nba games being off the books for all casinos but i dont think thats right since Caesars just has to take celtics games off due to partial ownership by the CEO.

i dont know if an nba franchise would sell out in vegas every night. most people that go to vegas arent there to see nba games and the locals work strange hours to really sustain a consistent fan base.

sacramento just needs to pony up and get the new arena. if the kings leave it will set sacramento back more than most people realize. a new arena downtown will revitalize downtown promote new jobs and just let the city grow (even though the freeways arent built for much more growth, but thats another topic)

thats what i been saying for a long time. I choose downtown over arden tho.

both will make traffic hell.

arden only has one way in and out so thats the worst idea of the 2.

i have a bad feeling that the maloofs are leaving have had this all set up for the past year. power balance is located in the OC and with the new agreement with them that is just another reason to move down south. free agents are prob more likely to play and live in the OC than in Sac. it just seems to be part of a greater plan to leave sac regardless of what they say publicly.

edit: sorry that was in response to the arden post not the warrior kings merger

I don't get this deal. Why gut the team when Melo can just sign over the summer?

The Association is about stars, but the game is still won with team work. Small markets will just have to work harder.

i dont think the knicks have the cap space in the summer to get him. knicks gave up a lot. wonder if the nets getting gallo/felton and mozgov for 2 firsts is still a legit rumor?

the nuggets just rebuilt their team real fast and got a lot of young assets/picks.

We have Bart (subway for you east coasters).

Bart has expanded to almost every where in the Bay.

Sac to SF could happen. Oakland to SF is already there.

I doubt it, there just barely breaking ground for San Jose which will be ready around 2015. Just stick with AmTrak. But awesome idea with merging the Warriors & Kings, but will never happen.

so many different ways to look at this. knicks weren't really spectacular with the lineup they had -- the most generous thing you could say was they were promising.

if the knicks didn't push for the trade and it somehow didn't happen, would melo have waited to hit free agency and potentially lose tens of million dollars under the new CBA?

how much of this deal has isiah's fingerprints all over it?

knicks got robbed.

robbed of what exactly? it's clearly all about next year for the Knicks. They'll get D Williams or CP3 for sure. I don't wanna hear anyone's speech about cap space.....they'll make it happen somehow. And since when did any D'Antoni team play any defense? they weren't going anywhere in the playoffs this year with Felton and Chandler so who cares that they gave them up.
