noobie jeans?

i am new to this denimhead buisness and i just wanted to know what would be an ideal like "starter" or noob jean for me to get into it or is there no such thing (any input would be appreciated). i don't want it to be way expensive, but i am willing to pay a decent amount like $140ish

any ideas?

if you want to pay less, try gap selvage, although APC is much better choice

Cheap Monday may be alluring for the price, but they really don't fade. Best to stick with the New Standards. My roommate has them and they look perfect. You could also get a pair of Ande Whalls for just a little bit more when he starts production again.

APC ain't cheap if you live in Australia. the shipping cost alone eats any discount. then you've got the currency conversion rate to deal with (better now than it was 4 months ago when I first started) My first noob jean was the RRDS from cultism. sized too big in the waist... My next jean was the Imperial Duke which I paid $10 more for, but way better fitted since I actually tried them on before buying.
