Hmmm, It looks more and more like this is the actual colour (maybe the jeans on the Samurai site were shot under studio lights or something), and I'm liking them more and more. Nuts...

I agree, I like the tan better than the grey.

Denimologists, could this be because of starch and they will turn grey after the soak?

What makes me think they're supposed to be tan is a reference to the material being the same as what was used in the S041CP. Ah - the reference is on the

I think the lighting or program they used to process the S5000CX photos caused the problem...

I keep going back and forth on whether I should soak or not...I'll probably wait to hear from Samurai.

+1, although I doubt they'd be purchased for their fading properties...I wish I had bought these, but go regular ol' blue jeans instead.

I didn't actually consider a pair when they came out, they're too different for me to be able to wear them everyday, i'm a strict blue jeans kinda guy with a black denim day off once in a while, but that's about all the variety i could handle...
