can these words co-exist? slim, fashion forward, cheap suit?

I'm looking for a somewhat disposable suit... although I'd like to plunk down $2k for a DH suit, I havent fully grown yet, so I'm looking for something for now and just now that I won't regret growing out of.

I'm looking for skinny, peaked lapels on a black or pinstriped suit. Two button stance, and it haaas to be slim :D (oh and come with matching pants... i hate it when black pants dont match black jackets in hue)

Are there any suggestions that fit the $200-$300 bill? Quality isn't of the upmost importance, of course.

H&M sounds exactly what you're looking for. Cheap slim suits. You can find them on ebay if you don't live near an H&M. Express suits might work for a disposable suit for a year and it's in the mall which makes it easier for you to try on stuff. I don't think they're super slim, but you might be able to size down since their stuff seems to run a bit big. Zara and Club Monaco might work as well. Obviously i'm not pretending any of these are good suits or anything. They're just cheap and you can try them on and would be slimmer than something you buy at say, sears or something. Just some suggestions.

For something really good quality and good on price (just a tiny bit out of your range) i'd definitely go with http://www.thickasthievesla.com/ One of the two creators is a style forum and superfuture member and a great guy. His suits are cut very well and are dior hommish slim. http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=29670&highlight=thick+thieves+review You can talk to Get Smart on style forum and he can help you out with sizing and other stuff. I'm going to get one the next time i have a formal occassion looming.

i bought one at h&m since i maybe have to bring it out 2-3 times a year. at $100 you can't find anything that isn't grandpa style.

the only drawback is the small sizes. you can only get the jacket up to a 44, which i just barely fit into.

Well, that shouldn't be a problem... 36's will need a little tuck job from the tailor to fit properly for me :) I guess I'm headed to Zara and H&M

Hare, or you can try thrifting

Word, Hare has extremely slim stuff and it is really pretty cheap (although obviously the quality is not there). Yesterday, I picked up 2 shirts (to be worn with a suit) for a 1/4 of the price that it would cost for a similar DH shirt. I'll probably be going back within the next week or so, so I can check if they have something that matches the specs you gave in the first post. BTW, whats your height/weight?

2nd the TAT recommendation. Quality-wise, TAT suits destroy everything that has been brought up in this thread so far (within the same price range of course).

Alright buddy, here's what you do; Go to Zara and buy a suit. Definitely higher quality than H&M, similar slim, euro, fashion forward cut, and they always use cool fabrics.

What?? Last time I was shopping for a suit the Zara ones had cheap polyester/wool blends. That is NOT a quality sign.

Also, I forgot to mention, I have a suit from this guy on Ebay,

http://myworld.ebay.com/dlewisatumail/

The quality is decent and the suit is seriously slim as fuck. I posted a pic of me wearing mine in WAYWT a while back and I can post another if you need it. I think it ended up being around $330~340 with shipping.

I would like to see a picture, if you don't mind.

Cosign on the TAT suit as I purchased one directly through Jason, who was very helpful on measurements and recommendations. Being a SF member as well, I also received a discount but I'm not too sure if that's still valid.

I might recommend that you request a softer shoulder pad, but ultimately you can make necessary adjustments along the way with Jason. Don't forget you can pick your own color lining too!

You could try ebay, for exemple those aren't extremely slim but they're quite nice (Paul Smith London isn't Paul Smith mainline, the suits aren't as well-made and they're aimed at young business types). I'm sure you can get like $100 out of them when you re-sell them in 1-2 yrs. They should not go for much more than $300...

Flippa k makes some nice suits. The button stance is quite low which creates a slimming appearance. On sale, probably could get sub $500

Theory also makes pretty slim stuff. I know they made some good cotton suits last year. Pretty affordable when on sale too

Would love to get a Paul Smith suit but my size comes up very rarely.
