Over the past week... Only crappy iPhone pics sorry.

I have been on that Korean tip, rice, a lil sesame oil, kimchi, egg, served with kim:

Eaten the best ramen-like soup I have tasted outside of Japan; Ichiban Boshi:

(actually, it's a Chinese import dish called tantanmen in Japan, very popular and served in many ramen houses there...)

Had a delicious falafel pita from the recently opened Newtown branch of Sabbaba. This was infinitely more tasty than it looks. Some of the best falafels I've tasted in Sydney, tabouleh, pickled cabbage, pickles, tahini, hommus, babaganoush, etc... I think I'm going to eat here every day this week.

Also did a few celebratory degustation dinners this week, first at The Summit, and then at The Bentley on the weekend.

The Summit is awesome, one of my faves: fine dining in a slowly rotating restaurant, 47 floors above Sydney, right near the harbour. I only had the crappy iphone "camera" with me, and it was too dark to snap pics by the time the food starting coming. But I had a couple of delicious cocktails before dinner, a grilled pineapple and chilli caipirinha, and this apple and ginger martini (half consumed here mmmmm).
