This thread motivated me to:

  • Start eating better foods.
  • Cook better meals at home.
  • Save money for a camera.

Yesterday I found a nice new authentic Mexican joint near my house. I got a Chorizo torta with an awesome spicy cream spread and avacado slices, the standard chips and salsa, a roll with jalapenos, carrots, and other vegetables (not sure what that's called, but they put it on the tables in these places) and some cream cheese. Afterwards, we got some really good chocolate cake. The little corner restaraunt had a full Mexican bakery inside as well. All that plus drinks and two tacos for my friend was only $10.

I have fond memories of Maryland, Crabs, OldBay and PBR. Making it my mission to get down to Ocean Beach this Summer!

hmmmmmm PBR i didn't get wind of until i lived in chicago, but i LOVE those other things you mentioned! should we have a supergay superfuture supermeet on the Delmarva peninsula this summer?

yeah, great donuts - zero frills. feels like you're in 1970. i had the glazed, but wish i took down more. the old fashioned's look awesome.

the staff is cool, in a no-BS kinda way. it's a good place to just escape w/ the paper for 30 minutes or so and forget about the 8 million people around you.
