I just bought the 19 oz.'s a month ago, I don't know but 21 oz. is a little too fucking epic for me, haha. Who will be the first company to make some 23 oz. denim?

my waist is around a 35 and I bought a 34 and 33 in the 5000vx and they both fit pretty good. after looking at the measurements I figure I can get a 32 in the 21 oz b/c there is an extra inch in the thigh area and doesn't appear to shrink as much.

I don't know about the rise but after comparing the washed measurements on Sam's site it looks like the thigh is about .8-1.2" bigger and the cuff/hem is .5" bigger. I don't plan on washing these first so I figured sizing down an additional one should be fine.

I wish Samurai would make a wacky pair of jeans with a leg opening slightly smaller than that of the SO505.

I think the 510 is the perfect cut for the 21oz for two reasons. Firstly you don't want anything that heavy to be tight fitting for comfort and heat reasons. Second, they "should" last a lifetime and when you are in your 40's and they are truly vintage, you can still pull it off without looking gay.

Toshiko said the same thing to me. I think it's part that BIG is the US distributor and part the Levis legal trouble. Anyway I did it with 2nd and had no problem at all.
