they are as fake as fake cna get, u can tell by the snthetic patch, and the lacking of a pic of the selvedge line. People who sell real ones, ALWAYS have pics of the selvedge, unless its a No3, when it doesnt.

Yes, but that only pertains to stuff made in Japan. No.0, No.1, No.2 are made with selvedge denim. No.3 is not. Evisu has licensed their brand to many different countries, so the quality can be lacking. Some Evisu is made in Europe. Some in China. It all depends on the licensee. Basically Evisu whored out their name just to make a few bucks, so who the hell can tell whats real anymore.

THANKS AGAIN!

UBER FAKE, thats probably the worst fake evisu I have ever seen. They do make one sort of like that but it's pretty obvious.

I can remember lusting after Evisu in about 1998, and I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them. The simpler ones do break in nicely...many of the jeans that really caught my eye in terms of the way in which they had weathered turned out to be Evisu (felt a bit stupid doing a double take to check out the brand of some guy's jeans, but...ah, well...many of you know that feeling..) Anyhow... Simplest way to quickly check a pair is to look for selvage in the coin pocket. All legitimate selvage Evisu's will have it, even if they vary considerably in their other details. :)

Sup wigga G, yoyo homies up for some Evisus yO, coz I'm inda hOuse brUh.

Just get some Nudies/Levis/APC (etc..) and let it be. Have you tried looking at other brands as other people have been mentioning? Why Evisu?

or why not the pay the premium for some legitimate Evisus? Instead of trying to score a quick $20 bargainised fake.

If you cant afford it, then I dont see any reason for you needing a pair except to score some cheap 2.3 seconds of fame.

But if you really want a pair. Why not start off here?: http://www.evisu.com/shop/home.php

While we're on the subject- is there an easy way to identify fake jackets? Not sure what the model number is but I bought a raw denim, pleated front 2 pocket cinch back (sort of a mix of Levi 506/507 detailing) some time ago and i'm probably safe in assuming as it was so cheap it has to be a fake, however it's actually pretty reasonable quality and nice grained denim etc etc.

Any pointers? i'll try and post up some pics this evening if neccessary

By the way- I'm new here too, but definately intend to stick around. This site is a great find.

Depends… If its an actually Levi's LVC or vintage, then there are details to look for. If it's a repro from another company, ie. Studio D'Artisan, there are also details to look for, but the quality will be obvious, even to someone who is blind.

But if its "vintage inspired" then I wouldn't worry about it being fake.

Sorry- should have clarified... it's an Evisu jacket.

If you didn't buy the jacket from an evisu store in Japan from a few years ago, then its a high probability that it's fake. I forget when they started licensing their product, but I know it was pretty recent. Back then, it was almost impossible to get this product. So anything bought outside of Japan before 2003 is probably fake.

Yeah- hard to say. If it is a fake, the quality of the detailing and the denim is top notch. Makes you wonder if (assuming it's fake) the fakers couldn't just produce their own brand rather than knock-offs!

The jeans the dude posted previously are obvious fakes. The jacket looks good, but it's hard to tell without further pics. If it's a fake, it's a good one. Some inside labels would help, as would some closeups on the hardware.

No worries. will do that shortly.
