the remembrance day assembly at my school was fucking ridiculous. they made it an environmental assembly complaining about how war effects the environment negatively, while ignoring the purpose of remembrance day entirely. actually had people doing interpretive dance pretending to be frogs getting flattened by tanks wearing masks shouting "war smells bad! war doesn't respect the earth!". not paraphrasing. i wish i was making this shit up.

two years ago my school put out a paper with patriotic student illustrations/poems in honor of veterans day and the front cover incorporated what was intended to be a peace sign, but instead was a mercedes-benz logo. fuck my life i cant fucking stand it, that kind of perpetration happened ALL the time back at my high school. the worst part, not only was the student who drew it an ignorant cunt, the god damn faculty who oversaw everything didnt even notice and printed that shit large as life on the front for all to see.
