I saw them live -- twice -- in the past 4 weeks. They're excellent live.

They also dedicated "Victime of a crime" to Hedi Slimane which made me look at the sleeve when I got home to find that the awful sleeve was actually designed by him...

They added another show in LA because the Troubadour sold out.. that is why they cancelled the SD show. That's a pretty shitty reason, I wanted to see them. It was supposed to be at Cane's right?

Seeing phoenix play at the dior party in tokyo about 6 months ago was the best night of my life. Front row. Screaming and sweating like a mad sailor fan. Biggest smile ever. Everyone should go see these guys if they get the chance. I am in love. I should post some pics.

And speaking of amazing french bands, my new favourite is Scenario Rock. Check out their first music video which has them battling evil guitars in a fight to the death. (skating on the flaming guitar is a definite highlight).

look out for the live album - ThirtyDaysAgo - recorded in Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. Captured the ambience very well...
