Get ready for a Japanese kick. I started off with this one tonight. Widescreen, high quality black and white looks so good. I have no idea what card game they're playing but that's okay. Pretty slick film; definitely a mix of Japanese new wave and noir. There's also an intense soundtrack.

Agreed. I was so disappointed with that. I swear, Green makes Portman out to be a horse in that movie. She looks terrible.

Just watched this. So incredible. It's the perfect mix between the professionalism of a western combined with the heightened emotion of a melodrama in an action spectacular. Loved it.

Did anyone else in New York see this? I watched pretty much all of Hitchcock's films earlier this year except this one because I couldn't see it in its original format. Finally got a chance to do so. It's incredible how Hitchcock uses 3D; he understands it better than directors today. Such a great experience.
