agreed, the latter had me thinking, 'oh this is going to happen, no wait that is going to happen'. Quite anticlimactic.

Not sure about "Bodyguards & Assassins", looks like it was filmed on the same set as Ip Man, and I also find Simon Yam really annoying and am confused as to why his film career is so long.

Vengeance was worth watching although my French friend was correct in telling me that Johnny Hallyday can't act. (He has very blue eyes though). Anthony Wong and Suet Lam and the other guy who's name I can't remember were the best actors in it. Johnnie To seems to be making more and more pretentious films though.

Avatar was amazing in 3D, although there's a lot of comments going around about its 'racist' undertones which make for interesting reading. Regardless, its enjoyable (albeit cheesy).

i thought the scenery was a little too much

colors and backdrops looked like "curse of the golden flower" really bright and colorful. CGI was a bit over the top. dont know if i would watch it again
