i got those too, but both have the same color so you never know which one is which. i guess for being seen in the city they are pretty decent on the flashing mode. but if you are at a dark place they are pretty useless

my friend and i HAD to jump into the water with our bike shorts on.. after 55+ miles of being on the road.. the water looks mighty tempting!

So uh, did you guys keep riding?

p.s., how do you like your saddle-sores? Extra-salty?

^must have felt even greater doing it fixed

it was nice, gotta admit though a lot of it would have been easier with a brake

a delayed birthday present from two of my friends:

the bike was standing arround rotting in one of their backyards and when i first saw it i was like: "wow, this once was a pretty nice bike". they totally refurbished it and made it a singlespeed. now it´s mine.

will add a new saddle and grips, soon. (already ordered...)

I don't like LA, but if he works for Contador, I will totally be his fanboy. AC having to miss last years Tour was fuckall.

I am volunteering at a bike recycling program that gives bikes to primarily refugees and other hard-up folk. I never thought I'd actually change headset bearings in a Huffy. Kinda awesome. (They'd actually rusted inside-out. AMAZING.)

Whats the point of taking off the padding from saddles?

I ran into a guy yesterday who used to race BMX back in the day, and he had the same Flite saddle as me, but stripped off the paDDing.

Didnt get to ask him the purpose of it...

Some saddles aren't any less comfortable w/o it. Some people would rather save weight than be comfortable. Some do it just because.

A few years ago, every company made a carbon shell saddle with no cover or padding to be weight-weenie like hell, but nowadays it's not too expensive or hard to get your bike down to UCI min without getting into serious money, so saddle makers have kinda chilled on being weird and just save weight with different materials the normal way.

Selle Italia is a perfect example. With nice bibs on, the shell flex is the cushion, you don't really need the cover. Saves like 50 grams w/o it. Flite would be even more. Whatever, being a weight weenie is simultaneously the best and worst thing in the world. It's funny as hell, to boot.

Just installed a 50mm thomson stem and a w-base double caged metal toe clips with SAG double straps.

HOLY SHIT.

I've been riding with single straps and I can tell that the difference bet. single and double straps is HUGE.

I can do skipping and mid skids everywhere. Track stand is easy as hell too.

If you are riding single straps, you must invest ~100 USD to get doubles with good toe clips.

i know this sounds like a total exaggeration but i feel like im a pro fixed gear rider.

Lollerskates.

Clipless pedals would blow your mind, then.

I'm actually really into them Velcro jobs for BMX platforms that Prolly is down with. They are ugly, but would be cool for the round town/polo duty type thing. Or all the time, if you don't usually ride clipless.

Can you post a pic of yur pedal setup.

I just got some shitty pedals with shitty straps so i wouldnt mind investing in a better setup. Cause i can definitely feel my feet lift up off the pedal on the pull-up
