i tried a couple and all fit differently. the sizing is so weird.

my dischords 27 is SKINTIGHT while 27 indigo overdrive fits slightly loose...

Can anyone recommend a good place for alteration? I have a couple of non-selvage jeans that I will like to hem. Feeling a bit 'atas' for the marketplace tailors.

i've had a few of my jeans done at Tet Tailors #02-17 Peninsula Shopping Centre (not plaza). he's hemmed, tapered them and taken in the waist and i'm pretty happy with his work.

i don't believe anyone in singapore has a union special machine, so chainstitching is quite impossible here.

Chainstitching is actually weaker than the conventional stitching right? Think its easier to come off. I hardly see any chainstitching used in construction of modern jeans apart from the back pocket details.

Chainstitching is stronger, dude ..... do a search, if you're interested. There's tons of information about it here.
