MISTER FREEDOM

In what ways are the materials, fit, and hardware different?

Well I know for one the Mister Freedom N-1H has a longer body which would be fit. Material wise the wool blanket lining has a grey strip, M.F.S.C. embroidered on it, and Jungle Cloth on the very bottom in place of wool ribbing. Hardware wise the N-1H has a zipper added to the inside flap and a drawstring added to the bottom of Jungle Cloth.

I'm sure someone else has more details.

Am I the only one disappointed that MF is doing a 5-pocket jean?

Not disappointed, but very curious. I don't think Christophe would do something by rote. In interviews he's said something like, "why make a five-pocket? why reinvent the wheel?" So if we take him at his word, then he must have come up with a really good reason to reinvent the five-pocket.

I wonder, speculatively, if this will be an opportunity to own an "affordable" pair of MF pants. I mean, plenty of five-pocket jeans cost $450, but they don't need to. I believe that all the other MF pants need to be as expensive as they are. Maybe with a more standard design he can keep the price down a bit (not that that is or should be a priority). Reading the blurb about them, this probably won't happen. MUSA, deadstock denim, "loaded with details."

At the end of the day, I just want to know the details.

They're definitely going to cost far less, aiming for a $295 retail price.

Another pair of Road Champs hit the auction block - they look really good and worn in. Big size, though. Definitely a first-run model.

I can't believe that they're that worn in after a few months of wear... There will be nothing left after a few years.....

I decided that a nice and warm 86 Degree day was the perfect time to photograph the rest of my Mister Freedom jackets. Hopefully these fit pictures will help a few of you out there decide what size to go for.

I'm 5'11" but in the first FIVE pictures I weigh 182 pounds and I'm 190 in all the rest.

Mister Freedom Denim P Coat (Original issue with cotton tick lining): size Medium (40).

I just really want to know what's so interesting over to your right.

Well that my friend is where the sun doesn't shine. Had I had glasses you'd see my face.

its cool that Gap used his real name! having said that.... the fact that they are printed on everyday, reg Gap tees gives em an Ed Hardy vibe. they are lacking that subtle broken in/ new dead stock look.... imho.

If someone asked you to give designs for the help of aids, what would you say

What???? I would never give designs to help aids. I would give designs to help combat aids. I have taken a firm stance against aids and am sad to learn that MF has taken a stand to support aids...................................

I was like.... seriously?

Yeah, it's kinda funny cuz when I go to the supermarket they are like, "Would you like to donate your change to support breast cancer?" And I will usually say, "What? support breast cancer? I am totally against breast cancer. It kills too many women a year." They look at me like I am nuts and my wife gets pissed every time I do it, but I make sure I do it when she is around just to piss her off too. She just loves my ever so predictable humor.
