Recommendations for Black Raw Denim

I would highly recommend DH raw black, the Japanese model (as TragicBliss would too...I think he has a pair). They're not selvage but personally I don't understand why that's necessary. The denim is beautiful, and not uncomfortably stiff. I almost bought a pair this fall, and now I wish I had.

Couple questions. How black are the APC overdyed black New Standards? And do they use selvage denim for all of the NS colors?

They're regular indigo new standards bleached and then dyed black. When they fade they look sort blue black for medium to light areas. Heavy fade areas fade to an ecru like color.

kicking mule also makes a black raw selvage that i saw yesterday, in a straight cut. i didn't like the cut but the denim was nice, not too heavy.

I picked up the black raw Diors in 19cm last month. My favorite jeans right now and the cut is perfect.
