DENIM SNOBS...

I got the jacket at American rag in LA ON SALE for $230! The only on there. I saw 2 on ebay like 8 months ago, and theu went for about $200 each, but the guy didn't know what he was selling or how to market them. they had a bare bones auctions and they were hard to find. I wouldn't let one go for less than $500. A small price to pay for something that lasts forever and looks better with age.

I love those reds! those are this years levi's red and they can be found hardly anywhere! they came out at the end of the summer. I saw them in the Vice Magazine store in LA and in the SF Levis Flagship store. I like the peg legged ones but they are too short, they should have made them a little longer.

those ® holden...they're awesome

but mine's a bit big for me. had asked a friend to get them

from london and according to my normal size w/o realising they run bigger.

but what the heck i've rockt them anyways...am still thinking to alter it to a smaller size

but i'll lose the 'parkinson' stiching. maybe i'll put it in a dryer to shrink??

Those Samurai jeans are rad. I'm annoyed that I can't seem to find these or Denimes in Los Angeles. Fred Segal used to carry Denime, but no longer. Are there any online retailers with English language sites that ship to the US?

I saw that. Aero has very little Denime. Just two styles, with only one in my size. I'm more interested in finding the whole line somewhere online. I was thinking of having a friend of mine that speaks Japanese call a Denime store for me and see if they'll ship to the US. But now after perusing the Samurai site, I think I want a pair of those more than the Denimes.

serge, with so many jeans it must be a mission to get good fades on them all? Whats your washing policy, as little as possible?

I don't wash my jeans unsless they are filty, and i don't wash with soap. the truth is that I have was too many jeans to get a good fade on all of them. I wear 2 pairs most of the time: a pair of 1947 repros and a pair of Sixty (energie) selvage jeans. I will get my APC's on friday and I'm going to wear them for a long time without washing and I will chronicle their evolution. i'm thinking 8 months straight at the winery will give them some good character! The reds were rigid, raw, they will shrink if washed.

Oh, a tip,: Starch the hell out of your jeans. the worst thing you can do is wash the stiffness out of denim if you want them to hige and fade.

Memory returns! Lot 53 was the old premium line of Levis and they has 524 on the top button and redlines. I think they were from the mid 90's. Here is a jacket from that range:

I've got a couple novice questions about denim. First off, does anyone remember when levis came out with its HARD denim line ~5 years ago, where thoes any good? Second, I work in my jeans and always get them damn filthy, grease, metalshavings, food and whatnot, how can you guys go on wearing denim without washing it for such a prolonged period of time, how do you keep them acceptable?
