wranglers are quite popular here in the nw (cowboy ish), i talked to this guy and he said that these cowboys love to wear wrangler that fit up to their crotch and shit...

but i have to agree that levis shrink to fit are great and cheap too..

how do you stop jeans from bleeding onto your shoes? is there any way to stop the dye from bleeding out? or just have to wash them hardcore?

?

don't think you can "specially" stop them from bleeding onto your shoes, fingers and sometimes white tees...

from experience, it'll eventually stop after awhile, a couple of washes and depending how often you'd wear them. by washing them hardcore will get your jeans loses its colour faster but it may turn out ugly. so maybe at this moment no light coloured shoes...

hope this helps.

certain denim stains can be removed using a pencil eraser.

i went to visit my cousin in London last weekend and i had indigo all over my hands from my new edwins, my top and boxers had indigo staining from accidentally being in the wash with some repro levis and my shoes had stains all over the top from the edwins too!! i was a denim monster

sorry to hear about your denim bleeding all over you docdoom....

will jeans, which would normally bleed when washed, still bleed if they dont get washed but get covered in rain or something? i dont fancy buying any new denim until the weather here gets a bit better if they will cover me in indigo!

I hate the post 1982 bar tacks! I much prefer the black bar tacks.

that orange bar tacking is so ugly! Levi's started using it on orange tag (2nd quality) 505's and 517's, then come 1982 they put buttons and a red tag (previously always denoting premium XX denim) on the orange tag 505's and called them 501's.

edwin's stitching is ok, but the nudie jeans back pocket design is really lame, like express or something.

I don't wear Diesel and Helmut Lang because they use those same ugly heavy bartacks like moden levis. They should black bartack them like Energie (sixty) and the Japanese companies.

Levis with 524 on the back of the top button or on the inside tag are usually double stitched redline 501's. I have seen some big E era no logo red tab jeans with just the R in a circle, I think they were a short lived marketing experiment before they went to small e. I have also seen some later redline ugly bartack with the circle R tab that are from the old premium line, of which the name escapes me. it was a run in the late 90's, but not Levi's RED. I have owned, and do own many pairs of Levi's RED and none have ever had a top button number.

Live is too short for bad denim!

q for serge d nimes and ringring and any other true afficianados!! what does 524 mean on a button? And what is a red levi label without saying 'LeVI' or 'LEVI' on it!? No text at all?

524 is a number Levi's put on the back of the top button of 501 red lines in the late 70's and early 80's. You will occasionally find a circled R on the red tab of Levi's pre 1982 jeans and jackets.

Interesting...looks like there's a few different instances where they've used the ®tag.

I like the Edwin back pocket stitching and the Nudie stitching is fine by me. Neither are deal makers or breakers.

Iqualiti Denim, this is their first season on the market. However they have been at past project shows, im assuming to launch their line. Their denim mainly has Italian washes and they are designed out of NYC. They are launching in 30 stores, US only for their first season.

this is answer for post down below- the no text tab is actually done on purpose for every so many pairs- the red tab is patented/trademarked and the only way they can keep it is to do a plain one on one pair out of a thousand, or so. the 524 on the back of the button signifies the plant that the jean was produced in.
