Went into Take 5 last week, was really impressed with the store, MASSIVE selection of denim, and every one was really helpful and friendly. Held off buying anything, because I'll be in Japan in a week...

just emailed take 5 about the evisu 2000 cut no.2 denim and they have it yeay!!

what i would do is say something like "yea. i saw pictures on superfuture and just knew i had to come here. its amazing" and they say "o you are on superfuture?" and you say "yes" and they say "heres 20% off"

that is how it will go. lol

To be fair thats not how it went with me. First time i visited i talked about the forum trying to drop the hint like you say there and got nothing. Then second time i walked in and asked about the discount and im not 100% sure they understood but he said no discount... then i sent an e-mail about it and was told 10% off as superfuture member. Then the person on the till had to ask about this e-mail and made me log into the forum... Finally got 10% :-) Then i was asked do you really want the discount? because if you dont take the discount then you can get the 20% discount card for future purchases... meh i took 10%. Jeans still cost me about $60-80 more then if i got them in japan though.

Whats customer services like with take5? Ive had a problem. While i was in hong kong i got some evisu jeans from them. I also had them taken down and chainstiched. When i got back to my hotel i noticed that there was a small break in the stich. I had no time to go back and dint think much about it. Now ive noticed its started to undo the whole stich!!! Now im back in london with no one to stich these back up for me. Now i wonder how much they will charge me for this in postage to fix it...

Take5 is in my opinion the best denim shop in the world, they have the most insane selection and Benny lives denim.

Self Edge is one of the best denim shops I have ever had the privilege to visit.

oh, i finally got whiff of it when i visited a japanese denim store in bangkok (probably the only one). even though that was a hole-in-the-wall rather than a proper store, it was still pretty heady when i walked in and found myself surrounded by stacks--columns really--of brand new denim with that smell that only japanese denim seems to have. different from the smell of imperials or APC, or something.

can't wait to visit one in japan.

My friends and I went to Take5 when we were visiting HK a few weeks ago. We ended up buying 2 pairs of Eternals, a pair of SC Okinawas, and a pair of Sammy S5000VXs.

My husband is in hk now and he went to take 5 and said it was pretty amazing. We live in L.A. and he said it is the most amazing denim store he has ever been into for new denim. We really do not have any super great denim stores in L.A. that carry a large selection of japanease denim. The guy that worked there was really great to.
