Hey all -

I don't really wear shorts all that much, but I'll be moving to ATL soon, and need some shorts for myself and store. I'm looking for a pair that comes below the knee, and is made from a light fabric - not some clunky Arocrombie/Fitch cargo (not that anyone here would recommend that or anything, but you know the style).

I have a pair of Snug Industries that I've worn on and off for like 3 years; I think it's time to upgrade. In addition, my GF has taken them and won' t give 'em back.

Finally since I'm opening a store, what labels you guys like - no 555Soul or Diesel please!! I want upcoming/ emerging brands that are not in every store.

I live in my MHI Snoshorts in the summer which I got a couple of years back. NOT the thin rip stop nylon ones from s/s 05.

its nearly impossible to find maharishi stuff in the states

ive stumbled across a few tees but

i can never find the snopants or snoshorts

For you? Linen shorts from the Gap or Banana Republic on sale.

About 20 dollars usually. They don't go past your knee though, and then, subsequently, look sloppy.

I don't understand the whole thing with having to have your shorts go past your knees? They're shorts, right? So shouldn't they be "short"? Maybe i just like to show off my sexy, milky white thighs.

actually, i am looking for shorts too....

well...Visvim, a.p.c. and nudie....they are really pobably but hard to find in the states(not CA and NYC), so if you could get some of those brands It wont be bad....(actually i was looking for those indeed.)

Look on UK eBay... theres been a whole load of them for sale in discount stores over here (the pants at least). I picked up a pair that'll be on there soon, along with a Maharishi Ninja sweat, and some guys have got a lot more.

Dude - Why the porn article?? seems a little outta left field from here?? Maybe having only 25 posts means you can just copy and past rnabdom shit - you got me...

Anyway - Longer shorts are more comfortable and elongate the body. Thank for the help - I think MHI is more my thing - Trovata, Nice collective, etc. are already too big for me. Sorry, I don't shop in the Gap.. so that's outta the Q.

Thanks for the help. - oh, and yes I am openign a stoe in ATL - actually Decatur.

i just saw some pretty cool Y-3 shorts that i wanted to pick up - all black, with a tone on tone logo on the back of the right leg. length is fairly long - goes below my knee... it was 30% off too, but it was still about $200! crazy. really nice though.

As for shorts, I ordered some off ae.com which I'm pretty happy about since it's all about comfort for me when i'm in shorts mood:

Were on clearence when I gottem (think white ones are still on clearence), and I also got a pair of their discovery cargo shorts but reflecting back on it now I shouldn't have paid so much for a pair of shorts -_-'.

I picked up some Chip + Pepper shorts at the Denim Bar about a week ago and i love them! They're both lightweight and look good.

the best shorts i ever had was some from steve alan approximately 8 years ago.

raf simons and henrik vibskov new shorts fro s/s are pretty nice.

i bought a pair of morphine generation cut off half-pants and made them into shorts. i thought they came out pretty nice.

i second the henrik vibskov suggestion. raf's (short short) shorts this season are nice, but come with hefty price tag (600-700 bucks? ouch)
