this isnt so much that it's a bad outfit at all....more that she coordinated her outfit around a mass homicide in a country on the other side of the planet. gay much? this reminds me of in high school when the girl killed herself or died of cancer, and EVERYONE took the day off to "mourn". Remember her? Nicky or Vickie or something

Wearing all black in memoriam to the victims of Cho Seung Hui's hateful massacre.

Topshop, vintage polka-dot suspenders, Martin Margiela, Melissa, Agnes B.

oh how touching! isn't that adorable? if you look closely, there's one polka dot for each of the 32 victims!

^I sort of don't understand it. I don't see how ppl setting their facebook profiles to "We Will Never Forget VaTech" or wearing black/maroon and orange helps the situation at all. None of that stuff makes the people's losses feel any better. Seems like a lot of useless gesturing.

Having said that, I too wore maroon and orange today. I don't know.

We had a day of silence at school today, where people were silent to represent the voices of Lesbian Gay and Bisexual Students. People thought that since I was wearing black like I do everyday that I was part of this.

It's weird when all of a sudden your clothing has a new context.

Maybe it's sort of like a Mexican Day of the Dead type shindig, where they spend the day in mourning and then have a good time later, all wearing their orange sweartshirts and whatnot.

That's what I would do.

hahaha. I didnt see that. Isnt that girl from Singapore? Unless she went to that university in VA I dont see how she`s got more in common with those kids that died than with say the 200 or so Iraqis that were blown away the other day.

Knowing Americans for what they are, they would more likely speak in hushed tones for the rest of the day than engage in any orgy.

sadly, that doesnt happen enough over here. more than likely, they will just engage in obnoxious drinking and partying, but no orgies.

maybe im just hanging with the wrong crowd? hmmm.....

we don't. we build big altars with the dead's picture (be it family member or historic figure like zapata or benito juarez) and put objects that they liked such as cigarettes or candy or whatever, plus plates of their favorite food. it is said that that night they come back from the dead and visit their altar. It is a holiday of rememberance but no one really mourns.

Mourning was the wrong word. When I hang out with my mexicans friends they usually spend some of the day talking about the passed / remembering good times, etc... not so much mourning. Then we'd go out and have a good time. I was more trying to draw a parallel to that than anything else. It was poorly worded, to say the least.

It might not even be consistent with what other people do, I don't know.

gotcha, i agree that having a good time after reminiscing isn't bad. I guess if I was dead I would rather my friends and loved ones remember me in a happy, celebratory context rather than a sad, depressing one.

ah! I made it to worst!

Sorry, but the hair stays. Had this mohawk since 2000 and I'm not planning on cutting it anytime soon. Thanks for the feedback though, I'm trying to get better with colors and making my fairly thin wardrobe work

i think it could work, but i'd trim it down to an inch (would work if you had textured hair). as it is, it looks a bit unruly/16-year-old high school delinquent. let rest those days of drinking 40's outside of a community centre punk show with horrible local bands and spending 3 hours smearing gelatin in your hair.

ps sorry if you are actually 16.
